12/22/23, hired this company to move us from ************************************************************************** to ****************************************************** owner said they would meet with us today but blew us off. We are demanding a refund for the services and money to replace the damaged items and missing parts.to ******************************* 8 days agoDetails We had 3 movers from your company move furniture from ********************************************************************* to *********************************************************************** on December 22, 2023. ***************************** spoke to *** for a quote prior to the move. We have called everyday since the move- multiple times- ******** listed every piece of furniture including a gun safe. The rest of our belongings we moved by renting a 27 foot U-Haul which we loaded and unloaded twice and having a bunch of our family and friends help us ******** was quoted $1400 for six hours. We were charged over **** without an explanation and still have not received a breakdown receipt which was requested that night. The movers were slow and took about an hour break in between. I even called them to see if they got lost. We were told it would cost $198 hour which even at that they worked 9-6 (9 hours) which (according to ***'s breakdown) would have been $1782. I requested a breakdown that night, and I requested a breakdown receipt and I was told that we need to call ****** to discuss. as I said, the movers were very slow, but they were very polite. I understand that they don't have an easy job (I wouldn't want to do it) but I still don't see how paying $800 plus more that what was quoted is okay or fair in any way. There are still moving blankets here that need to be picked up and we have missing parts to our refrigerator. I would like a supervisor or owner to come and meet with us and to see the way things were left. I have attached pictures of the make and model of the refrigerator as we requested and I'm still waiting to hear back about the price difference that we were charged with an explanation

Hello thank you for expressing your concerns. We hear your concerns, but you are not our customer. You mention that you have not received on documentation on the move or a breakdown which is because it was sent to the gentleman who hired us to preform our moving services right before the holidays in December. He received all our insurance paperwork along with our bill of lading which provides the job hours. We talked with the gentleman about the contents of  the move to provide the estimate which in the talk there was a misrepresentation of the contents that we would be moving and their were items that were not told to us. Another reason this move took a longer was that in the destination location the previous ***** was still on the premises with their belongings which we had to work around.
The crew when at the destination location pointed out to the gentleman who hired us that the hardware for the refrigerator was in a tote by where it would be placed. They let him know that once the refrigerator was in place they would reassemble it for him but from that point to when it came inside the hardware went missing. We let him know we would work on getting the hardware replaced but at this time we are at the mercy of other companies we are in communication with. We understand the want of a quick solution but given that the move happened right before we closed for the holidays we have only being reopened for a short time. The companies we have contacted also have just reopened and are working on giving us a reply in which the gentleman will have as soon as we do.
We understand him wanting ****** claims court if that is what he feels is the best option for him in which we will corporate with but we much rather work with him to settle this outside of a court situation.

Better Business Bureau:I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ********. Please add your rejection comments below; if you do not provide any details, your complaint will be closed as Answered.

This has not been resolved. We found out that the company does not even hold a license - we sent them a 30 day demand letter they have not refunded us or fixed the fridge and DPU has issued a cease and desist that I will send you

I used ********** for the 3rd time to help me move from EP to Warwick on 3.18.23. The two previous moves went very well, pricing was fair, service was great, & the workers worked hard - I have recommended them to several friends as well. My experience in March 2023 was AWFUL, it could not have been worse. I've included a summary of my notes below (also attaching a few notes) & am happy to talk with anyone on the phone.- Move took more than 12 hours - quoted to take between 8-9 hrs. (in 2022, the SAME move took them 9 hours total, & included the EXACT same ***************** as 2023).- I called the day after the move to tell them how dissatisfied I was, & that I was requesting some money back, based on my experience, & went through the list of everything that went wrong. The manager I spoke to, ***************************, said he would look into it & get back to me. Overall, I have tried to contact the manager, ***, & the owner, *********************, more than a half a dozen times - the ***** ****'T RESPONDED AT ALL (we both have a close mutual friend who gives the owner business all the time, he even tried and never heard anything from him). The manager, *** got back to me once, saying they were not able to refund me at all.- Quick details of the things that went wrong during the day of the move, or have been wrong since: one of the guys quit an hour into the day (it was his 1st day on the job), no one came for an entire hour, and they mostly sat around during that time, I caught guys resting in the stairwells taking breaks, they carried one box at a time a LOT of the time, their lunch break was more than 45 minutes, closer to an hour, the way the kitchen boxes were stacked I had to move EVERY one of them to even get into my kitchen, my (almost new) sofas now creak, marks on bdrm dresser, sharp spikes open on one sofa, used cell phone flashlights to try to see in the truck at night, I had to put DR ***** together as well as guest bed, the movers moved extremely slow, plus more.
