Owner of company has been contacted numerous times with voicemail left and will not return my call.

    Business Response

    Date: 02/18/2025

I called back Mr. ******* yesterday and left a message, apologizing for not responding sooner. Mr. ******* has a phone number beginning with 207, which I mistook for a spam call as I receive in excess of 30 per day from political calls and finance offerings. In my message, which I apologized several times, I left Mr. ******* my personal cell phone, and have not received a call back.

As for the materials, these are books provided by the ************************** who write the code for Construction Supervisor's across the country. This past year (2024), the state of Massachusetts announced they would be adopting the next edition of the code books but never laid out a definitive date. All we were told was the current exam was still using the old edition of books, and at some unknown date, there would be a concurrency period where both editions of the book would be accepted. You can contact the MA BBRS at ************ to confirm this information.

This change has affected thousands of people across the state and it's unfortunately something we have no control over. We use a distributor to sell our books, and this has been how it was handled with all sellers. Had we sold Mr. ******* the next edition of books, he would have been setup to fail the current exam. As soon as the pending change was made known, we offered our customers the option to purchase both options. Now that the new edition of code books have been adopted on January 1, 2025, I believe Mr. ******* is asking for us to provide him with new books which would cost us several hundreds of dollars, and is not a feasible practice in the industry. This would be like buying a Halloween costume, then trying to return it on November 1st after having worn it.

If Mr. ******* would like to purchase the new edition, I would be happy to do so at cost, which is how we handle this with all customers who are in the same situation.
