              I opened a savings account at East Boston Savings Bank with $4050 dollars in the account two years ago. I moved in 2019 and then called the Bank to let them know that I had moved. The person on the phone must not have clearly documented the call or address. Starting in 2021, I was charged $5/month for a returned statement fee every month (they sent statements to my old mailing address). Yesterday, I withdrew the money from the account, and I only had $4015 dollars in the account. They charged me $5 fees for 7 months in a row. Noone from the bank made an attempt to contact me at my phone number on file or by email to resolve the returned statement issue. They just kept on charging me every month for the returned statement. I've never heard of any other bank doing this. This seems like a fradulent practice to make money off of customers. They should have made an attempt to contact me in a different way if the address on file was not correct. The bank refuses to refund me for the fees.
