I purchased my car Oct 2020 it was a *** ****** (2021-first of its kind). At 63K miles the engine and transmission went. I brought it to the *** Dartmouth dealership because that was the soonest appt I could get. This dealership ended up having my car from February to June 26th. After 5 days of turning it in to them, they told me they fixed my car with an engine flush. I drove my car 100 miles the day they gave it back to me and it completely died on me. So I had to send it back to them a week later when I had arrangements to tow. When I brought it back to Dartmouth, They didnt offer me a loaner. And didnt offer me one until a month carless. One of the months they did no work on it because when calling headquarters they said my case was closed due to inactivity. Every time I spoke to ****** in service **** at the dealership she told me nothing but lies. She blamed the tech line for 3 months despite me knowing she never responded to them and let the case close. When confronted with this information she blamed short staffing. When I picked up the car there was no documentation for me. She never even sent me paperwork regarding what was done to fix my car because the server was down. She told me she would mail the paperwork regarding work done on my car and I never received it. But the headquarters told me a total transmission replacement and a partial engine replacement. When I got my car back, It didnt run as smoothly or pick up as quickly. In September my car started to get loud so I tried to make an appt for service at the ****************** dealership where I purchased the car. They couldnt take me until a month out: so I had an appt for 10/30. 10/22 my car stalled once trying to merge with high speed traffic and once trying to go up a slight incline. No lights came on. At 69K miles. *** Dartmouth and all other locations told me they couldnt take it until the 2nd week of November. At this point I want a new vehicle or money for a new one.

I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. *** corporate is now telling me that Kia of Dartmouth is directly responsible for my engine failure due to getting sealant IN my engine repairing something that I was not informed of nor did I consent to. I now cannot be covered under warranty due to it being caused by "human error." I need this fixed. If this isn't fixed, I'll be pursuing further legal action and obtaining a lawyer.

I brought my car for an oil change on February 18, 2023 which at that time I was told that Kia of Dartmouth service center could not give me my car back because the brake lines which were under warranty, had a recall and they needed to repair. My car was kept at the shop for repairs. When I picked it up, a few days later a noise was noticed coming from under the car. Apparently the shield under the car was not secured properly and it was touching the ground and in turn causing damages. I called to have it checked and replaced but Kia of Dartmouth refused to pay for expenses. This dealership is damaging customers property ir and then refusing to cover the repair costs. What can I do!

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response.  If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does satisfy my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint #********. I understand that by choosing to accept the business response that my complaint will be closed as resolved.

Company claimed they were not responsible for damages and I ended up repairing it at my expense because i was traveling and needed car fixed ASAP.

I would not recommend this auto repair business to anyone else.

    Regards,
