Our daughter *********************** has been attending RSM, ****** the last 5 years and prior to that our older daughter attended RSM as well. Every year RSM emails parents asking them to enroll their kids for the next school year in advance and only announce class timings later. There is no mention of the registration fee being non-refundable and the school reiterates that every effort will be made to give options to the student to accommodate their ever changing high school and activity schedule. Therefore we registered our rising 10th grader and $100 was charged to our auto pay bank account. We have been trying to get a class that our daughter can attend but not able to find a class with timings she can attend. So we have been pleading RSM, ****** to refund our $100. And they are refusing to pay us back. We are requesting a refund as our daughter is unable to attend RSM in the 2023-24 school year. Thank you for your help.Customer response

The first week of October 2022, I contacted RSM Online located in Massachussetts, seeking a geometry class to support honors geometry track for my son. I sent the curriculum my son's class follows. I received a response stating that the best fit was a certain geometry class that was a shortened schedule and was starting imminently. Based on the response specifically to my request for a class to assist with HONORS geometry and the curriculum I sent, I accepted that class and paid the first tuition installment of $856.00 on about 10/9/22.My son began the class with the second session on 10/12/22. He attended two more classes on 10/19 and 10/26/22. The class was basic, far below the content my son was studying in honors. The class provided no support and was a waste of time. My son got a 45 on a geometry quiz at school and a 68 on a unit exam.On 11/1/22 after taking 3 classes, I wrote RSM:"hi, it has come to our attention that the RSM curriculum does not overlap with our honors geometry curriculum in any meaningful way so we want to discontinue, and I hope this would qualify us for a substantial refund of the unused time rather than whatever the standard policy is. I had tried to verify the course contents before we signed up, but was unsuccessful. My son is getting failing grades in honors geometry, and the RSM course is not covering any of the same material. We need to find a private tutor. "At first, RSM refused to issue any refund and wrongly stated my son had taken 6 classes. After correcting them, they acknowledged he qualified for a refund but said only $108. Actually, RSM's cancellation policy does not have a provision governing shortened classes like the one my son was in, only ones that start in August and have a five month first semester. RSM is trying to impose that policy on us and issue only a 14% refund ($108/$756) rather than 40% as policy would state ($302.40) for a five-month class. However they misled us and should issue full refundCustomer response

This is filed against https://www.russianschool.com/locations/online They have multiple branches and they claim syllabus is the same across all branches. My kid enrolled in their "physical" branch for 3rd grade Advanced last year; and 4th grade Advanced this year to their "online" branch, which is supposed to provide content 1 grade level higher than last year.However, their syllabus is the same as 3rd grade. I made multiple inquiries and they claimed the content will be different and refused to even provide a topic list (Quoting them" since the curriculum for the 4th grade is not linear, I am not able to share the chapter topics") . I waited for 6 classes and the content is still the same. They don't agree to switch class for my kid or refund. My request is to refund the rest of the classes proportionally (14 out of 20 paid classes). The program is different than what i paid for. They kept lying that it'll be different curriculum to drag past the "6-weeks refund deadline".Customer response
