My Mother's Vehicle had broken down on her Friday Feb 10, 2023 right on Hathaway Rd. Considering this is where she goes for her routine oil changes and inspection sticker, she figured her best option was bring it here to be worked on. fast forward to Saturday morning we go to pick the car up and the Total bill was $700!!!!! When I asked about why it was so expensive all the mechanic could say is "well we told her before we did it" completely disregarding the outrageous prices for the work being done. after receiving quotes from two different mechanics, it is clear my mom was COMPLETELY TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! I've provided a break down of all the charges below and would just like to say SHAME ON YOU for taking advantage of a women who wouldn't know if she is overpaying or not!2009 ****** Camry Alternator Belt - ***** (a quick auto zone search will show you that this is ridiculous)Power Steering $57.20 Oil Change - $55.00 Inspection sticker - $35 Tires - 2 @$70/ea images of the tires can be provided they are not good tires."CHKEUP" Charge - $45 (unsure what this charge is even for)Labor - $225.00 (no break down of how many hours times their rate, just $225 mind you the car was dropped off after closing time Friday and ready by 10am Saturday???)Tax on Parts - $25.12 (****% tax on the total of ******) ???????why was she charged that much for an alternator belt? what is the random $45 "CHKEUP" fee? no labor breakdown just a flat charge?
