      On February 23rd at 1pm we parked the car in the Plaza parking lot and went inside ****** restaurant to meet with some friends to have lunch. After lunch, my husband and his business partner (the husband of the family we ate with) stayed at ********* to talk business, while me and the other friend with 6 children went to walk around the area so we don't have 6 running kids disturbing inside the coffee shop. An hour or so later we come and walk to the car, that is not in the parking lot anymore. Yes, they do have sign parking for customers only or else your car will be towed. Yes, while me and the other friend with 6 children walked away from the center, my husband was at ********* which is still part of the shopping center. They were still customers with the right to have the car parked there. We ended up paying $210 to the towing company although the rates written on the wall were different and when we asked the reason for the car being towed, the answer was: ask the ********************* they are the ones that **** us to tow cars. We called the ********* 3 times and they said they have proof of the group walking away from the car. I explained to them the entire situation as husband's being in *********, the answer was: there is nothing we can do, talk to the towing company. Called towing company, the answer was: nothing we can do, talk to *********. So at the end of the day, we spent money at the rwstaurant, at *****' so market, at ********* and still, the car was towed and we ended up being charged $210 to get the car back.

      Please accept this response on behalf of RK Centers (RK).  At all RK properties signage indicating the potential of an individuals vehicle to be towed if they either leave their car unattended after leaving the *************** and/or any unattended vehicles left beyond the Shopping Centers normal hours of operation to be towed is prominently displayed.  Additionally, RK utilizes spotters to observe and confirm when a patron leaves their vehicle unattended without having utilized the ***************, often parking their car and leaving for the beach.  If ** receives a complaint from a patron regarding any alleged illegal or improper tow, it is RKs practice to verify via available footage and or the spottersknowledge of the incident the circumstances surrounding the tow.  Upon verification of the circumstances surrounding the tow, individuals are referred to the contracted towing company for the location and requirements to retrieve the towed vehicle. In this instance, all members of the complainants family (husbands included) were witnessed and photographed leaving the shopping center, contrary to the complaint. - please see attached photographs.  This Complainant improperly left the *************** while leaving their vehicle parked and it was legally towed.

      Thank you for getting back to me with a prompt response.

      While ********* provided you with so called proof as us crossing the street to go to the beach, I already explained to the ********* management over the phobe that my husband just helped me cross a very busy street with my 3 children. Since they have proof from their watchers with footage of us crossing the street, then please ask them to look into the footage and they will definitely see how my husband is crossing the street back with his business partner and entering the ********* at the corner of the Plaza. You can find the receipt attached as proof from my husband that he was in the Starbucks.

      I tried contacted the ********* management, explained to the lady over the phone the whole situation and the answer was: there is nothing we can do! As simple as that, they don't have an explanation, they just have a person informant that told them and showed them a picture of us crossing the street. And if I'm not satisfied with the answer, to contact the *************** I did contact the ************** and they said they are just doing their job, they receive a phone call from ********* to come tow away a car and they do so. If I have any issues, to adress them to *********. So they just keep passing the blame from each other and telling me it is what it is, there is nothing they can do.

      We parked our car at ****************** located at ************************************************************************************************* in the afternoon of 4/16/2024. While we were shopping at *********, our car was towed by Dolphin Towing and ***************** They hold our car as hostage and demanded $210 payment without clear explanation as why our car was towed and why the charges did not match the amount posted on the wall in their office! The only explanation they could offer was that we left the premise while parking at the shopping center. We did walk across street to check on the ***************** hotel and came back shortly and shopped at ********* for couple of hours. ******* claimed that signs everywhere in the shopping center, but sign was unclear as to what is untheorized vehicle! Did sign say anything about don't step out the premise even for a second?! Isn't it a shopping center for the consumers to park their car and shop??? Our intention was to shop at the shopping center but spotted hotel on the way, so we decide to have a quick check. The car was still there after our short walk, and it got towed away while we were shopping at premise! We believe this is an unethical business behavior and was a day light rubbery! We demand Dolphin Towing refund the money they charged. Checking on ****** map, it seems a lot of people were victimized by this company. This outrage business practices must be stopped! Thank you for your help!
