I had a blown tire and I went to Imperial Toyota to get a new tire. I was quoted ****** plus tax for the tire. The service advisor came back and said that I needed a tire sensor and it was ****** plus tax. I reluctantly agreed and okayed the sensor.I really didnt believe him so I asked if I could get the old part back in the new parts box.A few minutes later he said that my original sensor was working now so I would not need the new sensor.I feel if I did not ask to see the old sensor in the new box that he decided he could not fool me and rip me off.I cant believe this is going on at Imperial Toyota. I can believe it happens at some mechanic shops but at a reputable dealership is wrong.I would be questioning any service issues at Imperial Toyota after my experience with them.

Since replacement of a tire is a routine repair, it was given to an entry-level technician to complete. After replacing the tire, the technician noted that a warning light related to the tires was still flashing. He **** the assumption that the sensor must have failed and would need replacement, so the customer was given that information. A master technician became aware that the light was still flashing and correctly informed the less experienced technician that, in fact, the sensor would reset itself. We apologize for the misinformation given to the customer inadvertently. Our service manager has reached out to ******************** to explain this and to offer some complimentary service by way of apology.
