  About a month ago, my family and I had the most incredible and unbelievable experience on board one of Captain **** ******* ships for a burial service but it truly should be thought of as a "celebration of life"! I CAN'T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT!!! I will try to properly describe it with words but I honestly think that it's not possible! IT WAS MAGICAL!!! You must keep reminding yourself of this fact: A **** Certified Captain and ship is bringing you out onto the ocean for a "burial at sea" and the people involved in providing this service to you are doing it as a LABOR OF LOVE!!! IT IS A CALLING and Captain **** and his team have answered the call! Everyone involved from "New England Burials At Sea" took their job very seriously. They really showed how much they care! Captain ***** was "captain of the vessel", **** was the "mate" (took care of the duties of the ship and event) and Captain **** was "Master of Ceremonies". At no point was there ever a doubt that the crew was in COMPLETE control of the ship. Captain ***** showed me the "Bridge" (the command center of the ship) and explained how the navigation worked on the monitors! IT WAS AWESOME! Remember, YOU ARE ON A BOAT OUT IN THE OPEN WATERS AND THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF EVERYONE ON BOARD!!! They honored me and my family with a DIGNIFIED service and Captain **** was INSTRUMENTAL in the planning and preparation to make it happen! I only coordinated with **** and never an operator or receptionist. Essentially, he's the only contact person and all the organizing and planning is done directly through him so it's a very personalized experience. I don't know how he was able to do all that he did but HE MADE IT HAPPEN! After everything that went into this entire experience, dare I say, I consider him a friend! RESPECT HIM AND HE WILL RESPECT YOU! HE DID AWESOME!!! As I previously stated, WORDS CAN'T DESCRIBE how incredible this experience was! I can't say it enough, THANK YOU ****!!!

  Burial at *** offers a unique and memorable experience in an oftentimes overwhelming situation. Captain **** answered our phone calls, and questions, and made us feel at ease knowing that we could put my dad to rest in a way that was meaningful to him. As a captain for 30+ years, my dad loved the sea and wanted to be laid to rest there. Captain **** and his team offered a professional Captain's burial that left us feeling at peace. They ensured thoughtful and personalized touches throughout the experience. We enjoyed the quality service, a dignified and intimate boat ride of very close family and friends, and attention to detail. He also offered unique offerings such as videoing the event so that the family could focus on the ceremony.

  It has been more than five months since we used New England Burials at Sea for spreading some of my late wife's ashes, although the memories of that event feel like it was only a day or two ago. I had flown in 22 members of her family and mine, and all loved the experience. One of my cousins said, half jokingly perhaps, that they would have to go to the moon or farther if his service was to be a better experience than this one. Capt **** and his crew were integral parts of all of this. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for an unique and unforgettable experience for remembering someone that you loved.

  Since the first time we contacted Capt. ***** He explained everything we needed to do and on the day of the burial we couldn't have been more pleased. WE went out of ************** and he and the crew worked very hard to make this a day to Remember. You could feel how much they cared that everything went well. And that when we left the ship, we were totally satisfied. God Bless you Capt. ****

  We had an absolute incredible experience using the New England Burials At Sea company in July of 2024 to spread my grandfather's ashes in *****. I had been in touch with Capt. **** over a span of multiple years in planning this for my grandfather. With all the coordination that went into and not knowing exactly how it would go the daf of experience blew my expectations out of the water. We went out of **************, ** and everything was phenominal. With my grandfather being a veteran of World War II I had requested a military recognition and it was setup seemlessly. It was by in far a very moving experience. A Naval Honor Guard was brought in to do a ceremony before we went out on the water and it was just amazing and a touching tribute to my grandfather. From the captain of the boat we went on to the representative from New England Burials every detail was thought of. We are so grateful for the experience that was provided to us to properly say goodbye to my grandfather and fulfll his wishes of being burried at sea. We could not recommend this company more highly!

  My family is very grateful for the touching service provided when we scattered my husbands ashes at sea off the ***** coast in July. Capt **** ***** is very professional and conducts a meaningful service at every step. He went out of his way to make the day very memorable in more ways than one. As we went past the inn where my daughter and son-in-law held their wedding reception 23 years ago, and nearing the anniversary date, he heard us talk about it and made a point of stopping in front of the inn on our way back to port and spoke a few words and wished them a Happy Anniversary. He also had asked me if my husband and I had a favorite song while we were heading back. I told him what it was and he brought it up on his phone app and played our song. Between the readings, the scattering of roses along with the ashes, the eight bells rung and the canon salute at the end of the service, my husband was sent off with a bang and we all were appreciative of how the entire trip out to sea was handled. Having beautiful weather was the cream on top. Thank you Capt **** and crew.

  New England Burials at Sea LLC provided an exceptional experience for spreading my friend's ashes at sea. From their initial coordination with the funeral home to the personalized service, Captain ******************* and his crew provided a lovely goodbye. His professionalism and empathy put me at ease during this difficult time.****************** worked closely with the funeral home to arrange the transport of the ashes to his location. His attention to detail and communication made the logistics and permitting process worry free, he handled everything.****************** selected a beautiful, sunny Saturday; 3 miles off the coast of ******** Harbor to hold the service. The ceremony was tailored to my preferences, with personalized readings and the tossing of gorgeous yellow flowers into the sea, where the ashes were spread.The customer service was excellent, both in terms of the quality of the ceremony and support. I highly recommend their services to anyone seeking a meaningful farewell at sea. The GoPro video offered provided a valuable keepsake, allowing those who couldn't attend in person to share in the experience and commemorate my friend's life. I recommend purchasing the video package, you wont be sorry you have it. In conclusion, ****************** made a sad occasion more peaceful and I felt a sense of closure after the service.

  I used this wonderful service in February of 2024 to have my father laid to rest at sea, which was always his dream. If you are considering a sea burial for your loved one, do not hesitate to employ this service. Upon my first contact with Capt. **** *****, I was comforted in his knowledge of what had to be accomplished in order to make this successful burial happen. His kind manner and interest in creating the service that we wanted was not only welcome, but also appreciated during our time of grief and confusion. Even more so since we were arriving from out of state.Our sailing was expertly planned from a port in *************. Every detail was seen to and all aspects planned to the last detail before we even stepped onto his vessel. We were warmly greeted by the Captain as well as the local Funeral Director and the crew. During the trip we were checked on many times to see if we needed anything and to keep us updated about the journey. Once we arrived at our designated coordinates, the Captain and the Crew carried out a simple and lovely service that was planned to our specifications and allowed for us to honor my father in the way he wanted: clean, simple and brief. Although we were only a small group, each one of us was left feeling satisfied by how everything took place. This will remain a very memorable experience and leaves me with a sense of peace knowing my dad received his lifetime wish.

  My family and I were so happy we chose New England Sea Burials to fulfill my husbands wish to return to the sea. Captain ******************* provide a memorable , stress free experience. The boat was spacious, spotless and comfortable. Captain *** tailored the service, with frequent input from me, with prayers, readings and music that reflected our personal beliefs Even the scattering site had special meaning to us.
