1 starDo not respect No Soliciting signs! Try to claim theyre educating asked to leave multiple times and would not. When asked if they checked in with the PD (requirement in our town for solicitors) told me they have a state permit which the PD confirmed isnt true. *****, rude, wont take no for an answer and cant read apparently! If I had the option of zero stars I would select that!Summit Energy

We apologize for the negative experience you had with our representative. Respecting "No Soliciting" signs is our policy, and we regret this was not followed. We are also sorry for any miscommunication about permits and for the pushy behavior you encountered. We have addressed these issues internally and and retrained our staff to ensure compliance with all local requirements. Our representatives should always adhere to local regulations, including checking in with local police departments when required.

5 stars******* is excellent in her role. I was a **************** Manager for a large corporation for 15 years. Her knowledge, professional demeanor, communication skills, follow-up are all outstanding. She is a valuable asset to Summit Energy but I'm sure the company is aware of this already. For example... I called ******* today to inquire as to when my utility might be changing out my meter to a digital meter so that my system can be activated. She advised me to call the utility to inquire. To keep the story short.. the utility communicated today, the same day with Summit via ******* and the matter was resolved. If it weren't for **************** would still be sitting here in peak production season in limbo .. wondering when I might expect to see some return on my large investment. ***************** ******************************************Summit Energy

1 starSo dejected and upset about the entire experience!! I will shorten it up. We signed our contract July 6, 2022. I was excited- thought by Christmas we would have working solar (referred by a friend- hers took 4 months). The electric company took longer then expected (Dec 4th I got their email- their part was done). Not long after I got an e-mail from Summit- telling me great news; we had an install date. April *****th of 2023. I was shocked. Not sure I would consider 9 months after the contract was signed great new- but at least we had a date. Installation came and here we are 2 months later, the first day of summer- still waiting for it to be finished!! The electricians have been here at least 4 times and every time- THEY DON"T HAVE ALL THE PARTS THEY NEED. I don't blame the crew- not sure who dropped the ball- but I know it wasn't them. We are 2 weeks shy of it being a year since we signed the contract. I still can't believe it!!! I am so upset about the entire thing and really just want them to come take all their equipment and tell them to forget about it. How long before they are considered in breech of contract? How long am I expected to wait? As a consumer- what can I do about this? The company is currently blaming the battery company Generac- saying they never sent the needed parts. They say very few installs take this long. So why is mine? Why haven't the parts been overnighted? If they have the parts for other installs- then they should have the parts for mine. SMH. I don't know what to do at this point. Tell them to come get all their equipment and start with another company?? Going solar is VERY expensive. You would think that with the amount of money being spent- they would find a way to get it done timely. Even if that includes flying someone to Generac to pick up the need parts!!Summit Energy

Unfortunately, not every customer's process follows the same timeline due to seasonality, equipment differences, and system size variations. Additionally, several active players, such as the municipality and utility companies, significantly impact the overall timeline. 1 starIf this could be 0 stars, it would be. We first reported the issue with our solar panels (which were installed by a Summit Energy backed local installer) in August or September to inquire about troubleshooting based on the included 10 year warranty. We're in the third trimester of our system not generating any energy, and they are supposedly still "trying to find an installer in our area." If we try to hire a local company for the repair ourselves, we'll likely void the rest of our warranty (not that it seems very valuable right now). Thanks for nothing, Summit Energy.As a side not, my wife swears when she called to inquire about our repair request, it sounded like they were laughing at her when she was voicing her frustration. 1 starStarted the process in August of 2022. Was told roof and panels would be completed by Thanksgiving. Didn't get started until mid-February. The panels finally went live March 7, 2023 and promptly failed. I have had no luck getting a service team out to remedy the problem. "Our service teams are too busy" is all I've been able to get from them. The sad part is that working with Enphase to possibly do a remote fix, has lead to the root of the problem. So, Summit already knows how to fix it, they just won't.They got paid and now I've been abandoned. I would avoid using this company.Review fromPaul B

4 starsThis review is based on the proposal appointment only, as we have yet to decide on proceeding further. ***** was prompt and seemed well prepared. Her explanations were clear, though my considerable navet re energy systems, arithmetic-phobia, and lack of prior research probably inhibited the conversation. (an example would be: how exactly does Summit arrive at the projected cost per kilowatt hour. She may have explained it, if so, it went over my head)Since I have nothing to compare this experience with, no comparison can be made to other companies. I should have asked to see a paper copy of any contracts that would need to be signed. This seems the core of PPAs, as the relationship will be a long one!
