Before my daughter went to college we were told a freeze was placed on her account. Two months later we get a notice from an ****** ***************** attempting to collect debt from a frozen account along with threats in putting a dent in my daughters credit. No phone calls or notifications that there was an issue, rather just an attempt to damage a credit rating through a debt collection group. The whole incident was ethically and morally wrong as nothing was communicated to us her parents only texting from my daughter to Manager ****. To think that this company would attempt to damage a college students credit score over a $20 bill from an account that was allegedly frozen is fraudulent. Obviously we paid the bill and closed her account as arguing over a $20 bill with these unethical people was not worth it and what they attempted to do was crazy with regards to attempting to damage my daughters credit so we are just happy to put this in the rear view mirror. Parents if you are overseeing your kids account from this NRG Gym in ******** please be aware of this recent incident that occurred with us. If the owner of this company doesnt know about this incident you should look into it more as its disgusting and disappointing that this occurred and to think that this process could have damaged a college kids credit score is so wrong.
