I visited this laundromat on Friday, February 7th, 2025 at approximately 1:30PM. I put 3 loads of wash in 3 different machines next to one another, that cost $4.50 for each wash. Total initially paid was $13.50. The time set on the washers was 35 minutes for the cycle, I then left to run an errand and when I came back the cycle had finished, but upon opening the washer, the clothes were SOPPING wet, and it seemed like the cycle had not finished.I then found the employee on duty to show her the issue and she said to me "the power went out" but it is back on now. I was confused that there was no help offered , so I asked if myabe there was another washer that I could put the clothes in to run on spin as they were too wet to put in the dryer. She said no, but clearly there were other machines working as many were running. She then said "you need to wait, I am calling the owner to see what I can do" so I patiently waited about 30 minutes, and then had to go back over to follow up. The employee was clearly stressed and told me I would have to run the cycles again, and pay another $13.50 to do so. I asked for a refund but she told me the "owner" would have to call her back. Would not give me the name of the owner or a number to call, and showed me she texted the owner but the text only said "please call this customer" did not say anything about the refund owed for $13.50. I also asked if the dyers had a similar issue to which I was told "i dont know, you can pay and try it" which I did not, I left and went to another laundry to dry after the second cycle was completed.I left my number with the employee asking to be notified about my refund. I am asking for a refund of $13.50 for the first cycles that were not completed.I have not been called. I am also reporting as I fear this may be scam this business is running with "machine issues".
