    Camp Kee-wanee is a wonderful camp with great values. Growing up there I was made to feel important and valued in my group. I loved being part of a camp that is local and run by teachers. Working at camp has been an even better experience for me! I cannot recommend this Camp enough! The other review left here is full of false information by a parent who was unwilling to work with the directors.

    For the second year in a row, I have been unable to obtain adequate or even any responses to some of my emails to the camp directors regarding their process for applying for financial aid. They require a large, non-refundable down payment to be provided before they will even look at your financial aid application, which is not standard practice, and very daunting for low-income families, since you risk losing a big chunk of money if you are not accepted for financial aid. When I attempted to reach them by phone and email, they simply stopped responding to me. Last March (2022) I sent two emails asking for clarification on the enrollment process and never got a response at all. This year I left detailed voice mails, and sent in my financial info, and they again dropped my process without responding to me. The camp claims this on their website: "************** is an inclusive summer day camp with an emphasis on the arts and the fostering of self-esteem.Our mission is to provide children of all abilities a fun, safe summer experience."No camp can be inclusive when they fail to respond to questions from potential campers, and when they fail to provide details about their financial aid process.
