In 2009 I purchased an '09 jeep wrangler because it came with a lifetime powertrain warranty. An inspection by a qualified dealership service **** was required every 5 years. Moved to TN in 2016. Last inspection had been 2014. Took it to local dealership in 2017 for inspection and, asked again for warranty inspection in 2019 while it was in for a repair. Just had it to same dealership for repair, 11/15/22 though dealership has changed ownership and was told Chrysler/Jeep had pulled my warranty due to lack of inspections. One Jeep warranty rep said the previous dealership had not been accredited with Chrysler/********, though upon inquiry I learned this to be false and that their mechanics were level 3. ****, no last name given, sent me an email on 11/17/22 that they had authorized an interim inspection window to reinstate my powertrain warranty coverage. As the jeep was already at the shop, inspection was completed. However, the service manager has had no luck getting the ***************** of their company to accept the documents. Was told by warranty division on 11/22 **** would call. I Scanned the paperwork received by service manager and attached it to an email which I sent on to ****, asking her to let me know that she received them. Still no word. ****'s previous email stated that the documents must be received by 11/30/22. I have heard that upon issuing a lifetime powertrain warranty to sell their jeeps during that very difficult period, they also implemented many ways of causing those warranties to disappear. This is my 4th jeep since **** and the warranty is the only reason I was brave enough to purchase this one as I had replaced engines more than once in the other three I'd owned previously. I would not allow the warranty to lapse. My previous paperwork from 2017, and 2019 state that customer requested inspection. This current repair cost me $1,152.38 when I was expecting it to be covered. I just want my warranty reinstated.
