    On January 28, 2024 I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint against Disston for faulty metal in their Drill Bit manufacting. BBB Assigned Complaint# ********. The BBB said it sent the case to ******************************* Office, who then forwarded it to ************* BBB ********* has been 7 Months now and BBB has not appeared to have let Complaint# ******** slide thru the cracks or to become missing; is Disston going to honor the lifetime warranty for the defective Drill Bits? Here is the original BBB Complaint: "Description of complaint:Disston Company ****************************************** towhich BBB Website would not accept nor the website point out why they would not accept the name, and address of this organization just stating "check address" when I looked up the address and input it correctly is the company. On December ****** I submitted a complaint in the Disston Company website"Contact Us" section. I bought some defective Aggresssor Drill Bits that snapped upon first use. The sizes of the defective Disston Aggressor Drill Bits were 3/32 and 1/16 and 7/64. They were sharp, but the metal so defectively made that they just broke in half. Disston Company never responded to the complaint I made on the Defective Drill Bits. And they were not cheap. I bought them thinking the more expensive ones were made better. I finished the job with ***** Brand Drill Bits and had no problem with the less costly ***** drill bits."

    No Mr. ********* I have not heard from Disston Tools as of yet (today is October 1, 2024).  

    I thank you for your persistence in trying to get this matter resolved.

    The Customer is stating that there was a Lifetime Warranty on our Aggressor Drill bits, these are consumable products and do not carry a Lifetime Warranty 

    We discontinued the Drill bits which were in question a number of years ago, so we have sent out Blu-Mol Xtreme Drill Bits 3/32 and 1/16 and 7/64.

    The Replacement Drills were sent directly to *** ****** the complainant. Tracking number: ** *** *** ** **** ****

    We hope that this closes this situation going forward

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

    Thank you BBB for waiting and being persistant.  Senior Director ****** ***** sent and e-mail to me that he is mailing replacement bits.  A delay has apparently been caused as customer service sent the problem to the Director of Development to assess the problem and handle the matter.
