      I just recently interviewed with this organization. The interview process was intensive (spent hours preparing, spent hours with the team on top of my current full time work schedule) - 8 total rounds with a final round of a presentation that took 4-6 hours to research and prepare for. All in I would say I spent REMOVEDhours researching, preparing, and interviewing. Ultimately in the end, the team found I was a great fit and extended an offer to me. Fast forward to applying for the background check I applied and marked that I did not have a degree (which matched my LinkedIn profile) - however my resume that I used when applying to the job had not been totally updated and reflected that I did have one (recently uncovered that I did not in fact complete my degree and missed updating my paper resume). They delayed my start date, then rescinded my offer because of this accidental inconsistency. I only have myself to blame for not ensuring all data across all platforms were consistent, but this seems unethical and a poor business practice for this business to assume ill intent when it was an honest mistake. I am shocked and disappointed that after earning an offer, this company chose to treat me this way. Imagine the repercussions this has on my family when I quit my current job, expecting to start this one and find out that they're rescinding due to a true administrative error. Really unethical and shady way to run a business / offer to a potential employee.

      The complainant was not a customer.   The complainant was an applicant for employment.  During the application process, the complainant submitted a resume that stated Bachelor of Science, Biochemistry Pre-Med, REMOVEDNE.  The complainant received a conditional offer of employment, subject to a background check.   During the background check process, complainant confirmed that the information on complainants resume was incorrect, and that complainant did not have a college degree.     The misstatement in the complainants resume and the complainants explanation did not meet our organizations standards for employment.   As such, our organization rescinded the complainants offer of employment.
