    Hello Ilovekickboxing cambridge went out of business on 9/20/23. They were supposed to respond to refund requests/ billing errors after closing. They have completely gone out of communication despite repeated emails. I hear that other members also had the same issue and are resorting to disputing credit card charges instead of directly getting it from vendor/merchant. I joined Ilovekickboxing Cambridge for a 6 week challenge. You join it by paying $499 and if you win the challenge (which I did), you are refunded the $499. Alternately, you can apply the $499 to your monthly membership charge - I chose this option. Monthly fee is normally $189, but I was paying $147.42 (~$41 discount applied every month). The trainer was very pushy about chosing the discount option instead of refunding the amount.I started the challenge on 3/14/23 (signed up 3/6/23) completed the challenge 4/25/23. From then on I was paying a discounted amount of $147.42 instead of $189 because of the refund applied to one year.Additionally, I asked the account to be held on hold because I was traveling internationally 26 Aug to 25 Sept.(email proof attached)Since the business closed on 9/20/23, i was expecting 1) A partial refund of $137 for the monthly charge of 8/24/23 (because I had the account on ******* Refund of $332.67 (prorated amount of $499 which was supposed to be applied for 12 months) Total amount is $470.2. I received a refund of $14.74 because they just prorated the amount from closing to next billing cycle. (9/20 to 9/24)The bigger problem is that the business completely went out of communication right after closing. They are very pushy about gaining members through the 6 week challenge and the $500 deposit. The actual classes were actually really good - the trainers especially. You can see the same in the reviews on *********** etc.I have attached the following documentation 1) Repeated emails from me to owners 2) Email confirming my account was on hold from 26 Aug to 25 Sept.3) Scans of original 6 week challenge 4) Scan of contract indicating that $499 will be applied to monthly fee over 12 months. I would appreciate a resolution of this issue. The physical location closed, owners are completely out of communication via email. There is no name or number listed.     I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I had emailed the business again informing my complaint to BBB and I got an email bounce back. I emailed another franchise of ilovekickboxing in ********, ** also asking for contact information for the Cambridge owners. No response yet. 

    Would you be able to find the owners details in another way?

    Purchased 2x 25 class pass in May 2023 for myself and my wife. They shut down in Sept 2023 while we have 18 classes remaining, 36 total for the both of us. They informed us they would be refunding the pro rated share but we still haven't gotten anything. I reached out again and their email is now shut off.

    I had been an ILKB Cambridge member since before 2019. During my next renewal , I have paid $1450 on 04/15/2023 prepaid for 1 year. This place has shut down on 09/22/2023. I have been asking for a prorated refund in the amount of $725 for over a month. I have been trying to get in touch about my refund options ever since. No numbers are in service, and the only email address for corporate that I have found gives a canned response: "Each ILOVEKICKBOXING location is individually owned and operated. ILOVEKICKBOXING Headquarters does not have access to or handle memberships or billing for any ************** like they are intending to just keep my money!

    On 8/10/2023 I purchased a class pack for for $595. I used 2 classes and then the 2nd week in Sep the booking app stopped working and no one picked up the phone at the studio. I finally spoke with someone on 9/21 who said the business had closed and I should have gotten an email (I did not). I was told I would get a prorated refund and further contact should go to ******************************************************** I have emailed twice in the last 2 weeks for an update on the status of refunds and gotten no response.

    I have not heard from the business in response to my complaint. I was able to do a partial charge back with my credit card company so unless ILK disputes this I will consider the issue closed.

    Paid $1800 upfront for a year long membership, one month ago (Sept 2022). I went to this gym pre-Covid so believed it would be worth the discounted upfront cost. Twice in the last two weeks teacher didnt show up, doors locked. Today, Oct 3, 2022, doors locked, lights out, and the phone at local and headquarters locations are disconnected.

    I have paid the gym for services through January ****. They have been reducing class offerings since August 2022. Today October 3, 2022, I went to the gym for a 10:15am class (which is still advertised as ON via their FB site and in emails). There was no one there and the gym was closed. I went to the ******** page to learn that none of the classes were run this morning and there was no communication whatsoever. I previously tried to contact the new owner to discuss reimbursement of services not rendered and he said that he didn't have time to deal with individual customer complaints.
