    The Harvard Cooperative Society, also known as the Harvard COOP, is a cooperative owned by its members  is the campus store for Harvard and MIT. The 5  COOP stores are located in Boston and Cambridge, on or near the Harvard and MIT campuses and offer books, course materials, school supplies, Harvard and MIT logo apparel and gifts for men and women and other merchandise items. Membership in the COOP is limited to affiliates of Harvard, MIT and certain other academic institutions. The stores are open to the general public.
