As most of these reviews clearly depict the true efficacy of this company, I am here to say exactly the same things. Disappointed in this company. Not even sure why my college bothers to use it. The ridiculous amount of money they charge for an online code ONLY is only the beginning of this negative review. If I could give zero stars, I would. I purchased one version of the textbook code at $168 only then to be told that I actually wasn't able to access my class until I bought another code ($30). This occurrence happened twice. The first time, I used the EXACT button on my dashboard to purchase what it told me I "needed" for $69. Turns out THEY linked the wrong code to that purchase button on my dashboard because the code did not work. I went through MANY hoops to get a refund for it, and because the code did not work, the professor changed the settings. Now in my next class, I have encountered the same issue, however, I was not about to purchase the code that did not work from the exact same button I did the first time. I went through HOOPS again just to get this person ********* ***** to even understand me and would not even give his full attention to what I was saying to grasp it fully. He kept typing over me. Then he cut off the conversation because HE was misunderstanding ME and sent me to another person in customer service. I then found out that every person I've spoken to previously up until this point failed to mention or share with me the CORRECT link to the code I actually needed (since the wrong link was attached to the button on their website). I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone EVER. Not to mention the rude personnel and astronomical prices for nothing.

Website down all day and no updates nor person to talk to. Have the day off to do Spanish homework and all day " down for maintenance" Why in gods name would you shut down the entire site during the day for "updates" with them saying on the website " we will provide an update soon" Sure they will 8+ hours no updates. Give me some money back!

I have reported this company to the federal scam data base. They have taken money off of my card, i have asked for it back multiple times, have requested a cancelation of products, even went as far as trying to get ahold of a supervisor for a refund. They redirected to contact *** for a "refusal of package"- that is gaslighting. I did that, and *** told me I was unable to put in a refusal because the company has stimulation, that once sent ONLY they " the company" can reach out to *** to put in for the refusal/cancelation. I was than told I would be responsible for the shipping costs to ship the products to WI when Iive in *******. This company even have a block on BBB complaints. I have tried several times to file, but I am assuming since they are not accredited, they are able to block all such complaints. I have put in for a fraud claim against this company in regards to the lack or care, contact and lies. I have reached out by email, i have proof of the company stating I would be guaranteed a refund once a refusal was put in, but there is no way to refuse the package unless this company calls to cancel/refuse. Vista Higher Learning refused to call to have it canceled. I do have the proof from your company to my personal email. My next step is to contact social media outlets, and the news channels to let them know that this company who claims to be there for college students and schools to provide materials are not. They are a scam. My hope is that this doesn't happen to any other young adults trying to get a college education. This company should be ashamed of themselves.

These despicable scam artists are abhorred by every breathing pupil of the upper education sphere for actively striving to be the most dysfunctional, un educational, and expensive "Spanish learning platform" possible. On top of extorting you $150 for a physical "textbook" (Which is not a textbook, but a three-hole-punched 600-page monstrosity deliberately designed to be unviable for resale), a $150 non-refundable code is required as a separate payment for access to course materials. These materials in question feature the lowest quality assignments and "lectures" possible. From graphics obviously hand-drawn by a 4-year-old to audio recorded in a bus station washroom, you are better off studying lingo from ***************** menu. Homework assignments gaslight any that crawl; even if you are off by a simple ***** ***** brilliant grading system works against the user whenever possible providing the lowest grade possible with zero indicators as to what the correct answer could possibly be, let alone an explanation. ********** ensue whilst dreading your exam score should you be unfortunate enough to enroll with a professor seeking to min-*** their effort and interaction with students. One simple missed ***** even if you guess the correct word marks the entire question or section incorrect despite the correct context. Often, there are no word banks or definitions explained on the page. This program deserves not even the BBB's lowest kudos of a lone star. Say a student enrolled & dropped, switched professors, etc. you are barred from your $150 deposit and left with nothing but tears of agony and money down the drain. Such entrapment should be punishable to the highest extent of the law, alas, this racketeering thrives off the most vulnerable and precious of our educational population. Remember, these are the same hog-rats that complain about piracy and "entitled college students". No professor is worth their salt for adopting this aberration. UTTERLY PATHETIC!!!

Completely inflexible refund policy. Unable to help me get a refund even though we called within 5 minutes of placing the order to cancel. They told us they canceled it but we were charged. We had accidentally ordered two of the same book (access codes) and they told me that they couldn't give a partial refund so I have to purchase ANOTHER one and then seek a refund for the double order (which would have been the 3rd one at 150$ each). And there was also a mistake in the email address that we had entered, and they told me I am unable to change the email address on the account and should open a new one, even though there is an edit account information button. I just wasted an hour with customer support, did NOT get my issues resolved, and now I'm out double the amount of the textbook because I can't return the extra one. I really had higher hopes for this company, but they didn't care about my situation nor did they seem interested in helping. What a disaster.

I accidently bought the wrong Web *** (online activities) course code for my spanish textbook which I btw payed $160 for, for my Spanish class because they don't realize that as a desperate college student I don't have that kind of money. And I begged them if they could just use the $25 dollars I payed for the right code as I literally cannot even use the code they gave me and that it was not right that they even let me buy it knowing I couldn't use it. They straight out didn't care and now for my spanish class I have to pay a total of $210 to a website that my professor requires. Horrible! Vhl please realize your policy is ridiculous and inconsiderate. $25 for me as a college student is a lot, and it wasn't easy spending it. If not, at least make its quality better than it was 6 years ago.

Where do I even begin. While *** does have small glimmers of hope, most of this is overshadowed by a number of downfalls. For starters, if they advertise a certain price be ready to spend an additional amount on other items that are needed for a course. I bought the textbook and ended up having to spend another large sum of money to access the online workbook and activities. Secondly, when I called customer service to question whether or not I needed to purchase the additional material. The customer service agent was barely able to speak any English and I ended up reverting to Spanish to get anything accomplished. Along those lines, the customer service agent continued to talk and cut me off even when I explained everything was taken care of. This was the worst customer experience in my life and I hadn't even seen any of the material yet. What a fantastic way to greet new customers. As for the actual textbook, the online version is downright terrible. The font is microscopic and most of the explanations are vague or nonexistent. Along with explanations being vague, I have also seen where workbook material and the textbook information do not line up. For example, if they tell you to refer to page 36 of the textbook. Sometimes it will be a completely different topic and will have zero correlation to what is expected. In terms of the online workbook, most of the material and activities are pointless and a waste of time. If you miss a question little explanation is given and I ended up feeling more lost than I did before. If you reach out for support on any of these issues, chances are you are not going to get a response or they will not answer the question whatsoever. Lastly, the workload for a 100 level class seemed to be a bit overkill. I understand learning a language is all about practice. However, when you have 30 assignments due in a week it becomes more about getting the work done and getting through it. I would never recommend this software or company.
