Words cannot express how deeply frustrating this company has made me in the past several weeks. I was seeking a home insurance policy and Openly gave me a quote, but said I needed to take care of the k*** and tube wiring in my house in order to help make sure this could be taken care of. I said okay, I can take care of that. So I drop $7,500 grand on replacing all the electrical wiring in my house in order to make sure the house was insurable to their standards. They said great, now we just need pictures of the property for our records. The guy who was supposed to come out and review the house/take pictures called me the day he was scheduled and said "listen man, I'm having car trouble. can you just take the pictures and send them to me?" I was so over this process, so I said sure I'll do it. I take all the pictures he needs and sends them, he says thanks man you're good to go. A COUPLE DAYS LATER THEY SEND ME A NOTICE OF CANCELLATION. They cited "peeling paint, rotted wood steps (which I fixed), evidence of water damage in the basement, overhanging plants around the detached garage, and rotting wood on the garage. because of these items, we are cancelling your policy." So you mean to tell me that I went through all this trouble, paid for new electric wiring like you told me, did your employee's job for him, and you STILL have the audacity to cancel my policy? The items they cited as reasoning for cancellation are also absurd, nitpicky stuff. Name a 100+ year old house with an unfinished basement that doesn't have evidence of previous water damage? In the several months I've lived at my house, I have had ZERO problems with water in the basement, not to mention I have a sump pump. To anyone considering Openly to insure your house, I highly advise you to keep on looking, because these guys don't give a **** about you or your property. You are a number to them, and will drop you at a moments notice. Simply put, s**** you Openly and your terrible coverage

Had insurance for 2 years and no claims. They send us a letter say they are going to cancel us due to high fire because they thought it was a 10. After getting them a video and a letter from the fire chief that its a 2 and within city limits as well as a fire hydrant crossed the street. The put it under review and waited until the last day of the month and said they still will not insure it leaving us without insurance the next day. STAY AWAY From this company.

Cancelled after one claim that wasn't my fault and told it was because my house was over 20 years old, yet it was over 100 years old when they wrote the policy...SHADY and UNETHICAL. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!

We used to have the home insurance from Openly for 3 years and they paid us a damage in 2021. Although we were scared at the beginning when the damage happened because they did not answer to us, but finally it was OK. This year, Openly tripled the fee, trying to rob us and nobody from this company even was able to answer the simple question "why?". I do not recommend dealing with the company from whom you always expect something wrong.

Poor service, questionable methods. Worthless insurance.Insurance broker sold me this insurance because they supposedly reimbursed for roofs at replacement value, among other things. After one year with no claims, they raised rates 40 percent. When I had roof damage due to documented wind events (July 14, 2023, for just one), Openly denied the event happened. This in spite of the fact that other neighbors and several roofers documented the events.******************* (*************************** of *************, **) said that Openly "used a different database" of weather events.Shady company with questionablel practices. Impossible to get in touch with them without weeks of phone tag.One roofer told me he had just finished with another roofing client who had a similar experience.Do NOT go with Openly!

I applied for homeowners insurance on July 17, 2023. On July 31, 2023 I cancelled it.They have harassed me ever since, finally cancelling it on 8/25/23.They are now harassing me for payment since they did not cancel it when I asked. They asked for policy number of new homeowners, I provided that, now they are asking for a Dec page which I now sent. They failed on their part and now it is my fault.
