Ironhorse Funding is in receipt of a BBB complaint received on March 3rd from a Mr. ****** ********. After reviewing the complaint, it was determined that it was regarding an expired registration for his vehicle that he leased through Route 138 Leasing serviced by Ironhorse Funding . The issue began on February 15, 2025, when the customer attempted to obtain an inspection sticker, but was unable to do so because of an expired registration and contacted Ironhorse Funding. Upon review, the lapse in registration was due to unpaid excise taxes on the vehicle. The excise tax bills were not mailed to the correct company address resulting in this delay. Ironhorse Fundings **************** coordinated with the city of ******* to resolve the balance and facilitate the payment.
On March 3rd, 2025, the payment for the past due excise tax bills were paid. The *** requires that the hold is removed by the city prior to processing the registration renewal. Daily follow-ups ensured that by March 7th, 2025, the hold was lifted, and the check for registration was sent. On March 8, 2025, Ironhorse Funding confirmed that the payment had been received by the *** and is currently being processed. The customer was informed that the updated registration would be sent via overnight delivery once the company receives it. Ironhorse Funding has provided updates to the customer regarding the registration status and will continue to follow up with Mr. ******** to ensure the matter is resolved.Customer Answer

Iron horses app that deals with people's accounts is really misleading .I currently have a display of $397 amount due my regular payment is 198 and I'm not past you because it says 0 days acount current . Next payment due is 10/9/24.When contacting customer service the line gets connected then immediately placed on hold, and then I hear a very offensive clip from a movie( I'm not sure what movie) but it states the "person calling is a scumbag and never to call again" its a little more involved than that.about 30 seconds of being insulted. ( have the call recorded) I hang up call back and get a real person. This person Tells me that I have a $397 payment Due in 1 week. I am really not sure what is happening with their software but it's really misleading and confusing to a customer I have screenshots call recordings and emails from them to Provide if needed I would like for my payments to be applied correctly because they are being misapplied to principal balance and I would like for them to erase their voicemail and have coaching involved but there's a lot of things wrong with this whole pictureBusiness Response

****************** had attempted to make a principal reduction payment through our online portal on July 23rd. In order to make a principal reduction payment, the customer needs to call in directly to **********************. When ****************** made the payment online, it was applied to the next two payments making his next payment due in October which is what was reflecting on the payment portal. On July 31st, ****************** called into our customer service department and worked with the **************** Manager to reverse the payment and apply it as a principal reduction as he instructed. She informed him that a principal reduction payment needs to be made by calling in directly. The payment portal now reflects that he has a regular payment due on August 9th, in the amount of $198.63(see payment portal screenshot attached).
Additionally, we researched Mr. ******** claim of an unwelcoming recording he heard when calling in. We appreciate the customer bringing this issue involving our dialing system to our attention. With this information we were able to determine that several customers were being transferred to an automated recording which involved offensive language. We were able to track down the source of the issue and resolve it as of August 9th.Initial Complaint

********************** called into Ironhorse Funding on May 10th, to make a payment using his checking account. He was adamant that he would like it applied properly, which the representative agreed to do. The payment was processed, and it fulfilled ************************** payment due for May. Additionally, ********************** had a reoccurring payment already scheduled to process on May 21st. Although he did not state that he would like this payment cancelled, the Ironhorse Funding representative should have reminded him of this and asked if he would still like it to process. Additional training has been provided to the representative for similar situations in the future. On May 21st, the scheduled payment was processed, and the funds were pulled from ************************** account which paid the June payment.
On May 28th, ********************** called back in upset that two payments were taken. The representative explained to him what had happened. The Ironhorse representative had offered to either refund the money or keep it applied to the June payment making him not due until July's payment. ********************** confirmed that the payment can remain. Following this call, Ironhorse Funding is of the understanding that the customer's concerns have been alleviated and this complaint can be closed since it was submitted prior to the call taken place on May 28th.

On October 2nd, 2021, the complainant entered into a loan agreement with Ironhorse Funding to purchase a 2017 ****** GSX-R1000AL7. During the course of the loan, she was unable to make payments and the account was eventually charged off.
We have reviewed the loan documentation to confirm the identity matches that of the complainant. The partial phone number and e-mail address from the complaint matches what was provided on the application of the loan. During the application process, a copy of the borrowers license was also obtained to confirm identity. From what we have determined, the complainant is the true borrower on this account and what is being reported on their credit report is accurate.
If the complainant has more documentation confirming this transaction was originated fraudulently, we will review further.Initial Complaint

On 8/26/2023 I accepted an offer from Rumble On to sell my motorcycle. I was contacted by Rumble On that the wrong lienholder was still listed on the title. After many failed calls attempting to contact someone from IRONHORSE FUNDING, I finally was connected with ****** from the title department. We spoke around September 7, 2023. I made the issue know about the title and ****** said the jurisdiction had rejected there title update. I refinanced with Ironhorse over a year ago. It wasn't made known about the title issue until i was trying to sell the bike and the buyer notified me of the issue during there title search. Around October 2, ****** responded to my email that getting a duplicate could take 35 days. It is now 11/5/23 and I have not heard from ****** and have no status of the title issue. This has caused the sale of the motorcycle to be cancelled.Customer Answer

On June 30th, 2022, **************** entered into a loan agreement with Ironhorse Funding to refinance his original loan for the purchase of a 2020 Harley ******** FLTRK Road Glide Limited. On August 4th,2022, Ironhorse Fundings **************** submitted the paperwork to Wolters Kluwer for an updated title with Ironhorse Funding listed as the lienholder. On June 8th , 2023 we received a returned unprocessed package back from Wolters Kluwer due to the fact that an incorrect title was provided. It was determined that the original lender provided Ironhorse the wrong title. The original title was updated since the customer moved to ************. At this time, Ironhorse Funding had to reach back out to the original lender(Harley ****************** Services) to obtain the most updated title and a lien release to submit to Wolters Kluwer. The original lender provided the title and lien release on September 13th, 2023, but the *** number was incorrect on the lien release. Ironhorse Funding eventually received the correct paperwork on September 27th and was then promptly submitted to Wolters Kluwer for an updated title. All issues addressed above contributed to the delay of perfecting the title. We are sorry for the delay in this process.
On November 2nd 2023, we received the perfected title with Ironhorse Funding listed as the lienholder. During the time of perfecting the customers title, we did not receive a request for a payoff from a dealership or the customer. The customer would need to pay off the account in full to receive the perfected title.
Ironhorse Funding provided responses directly to the customer regarding this complaint on 11/21/23 and 12/1/23. Please note, we were not receiving the proper notifications from the BBB regarding this complaint as they were blocked by our firewall, but this has since been addressed.Customer Answer

Ironhorse said they submitted paperwork to the third party in August of 2022. They say it wasnt until July 2023 that they received incorrect paperwork back. 1 year later the third party returns paperwork? ******** during there VIN and title Search noticed the incorrect lender on the title. This was when I reached out over multiple days before hearing back from the title department who claimed they were unaware of the issue but would start working on it. From August 2023 to November 2023 IronHorse was away of the issue and not rectified until the end of November. **************** claims turnover and training was why they would not answer my original calls. The dealer did not reach out because the information O gave them was correct on the title because it Took IronHorse over a year to make the title corrections and costing me a sale until dealers start buying bikes for the next riding season
