was interested in purchasing a car at limerock motors. after a few days of receiving inconsistent terms i decided to not go through with purchasing the car requested my down payment back. owner proceeded to tell me that i wouldnt get all of my money back because he installed a gps in it. i told him i never signed anything agreeing and that my down payment was to help me get financing. *** wasnt honest about anything and proceeded to rude and scream profanities at me. i chose to purchase a car elsewhere but *** at limerock refused to give me money because of a negative review of my experience at his dealershipInitial Complaint

During the first week of June 2023 made a $500. 00 (five hundred dollar) deposit on a vehicle for potential purchase by financing. Upon learning of undisclosed terms of the agreement I decided against the purchase and requested the full refund. The business owner/manager and agent only returned $350. 00 (three hundred and fifty) and kept $150 (one hundred and fifty) without valid or contractual reason. I requested the $150. 00 refund but the company refused.I am now seeking assistance and getting the remainder of my deposit back.Business Response

Customer came in to purchase a vehicle. Give us a $500 deposit. Got him approved through a subprime bank which he was aware of cuz his credit was no good. The bank requires a *** to be installed. He provided us with all the documents to pick up the vehicle went to go sign for the vehicle. Did not like the interest rate. All the terms and conditions of the deal told us he was going to pay. **** never came up with the cash and we had installed the *** prior to him taking the delivery. He reneged on the deal. The *** installation cost was $150. We told him we're going to keep $150 cuz he passed on the deal. He was all approved. Ready to go. He said that he didn't have to pay for the *** cuz the *** was part of the deal. We would have never installed the *** had he not verbally and signed documents accepting the purchase of the vehicleInitial Complaint

I bought a vehicle from Limerock Motors located in ************** on 5/18/23 and I have had problems with it since. They fixed a few problems but the major one Ive complained about isnt going to be fixed. Owner said no use the extended warranty. The 30 day warranty is up on Sunday and his mechanic will not be able to look at it until Monday so he is refusing to pay for it. The car was in the shop twice for the same issue and the second the issue was found. Now no one wants to pay for itBusiness Response

Hi I filed my initial complaint with limerick motors on June *******. He answered the complaint saying it was fixed and returned. Well the problem got progressively worse and now it is continuous. The part that needed replacing was a viscous coupling for my all wheel drive system. He placed the old part back in and then said he was waiting on new part then when I filed a bad review he stopped all communication with me what can I do now that my vehicle is going to to end up losing the all wheel drive because he lied about the new part and stopped communicating with me. He has horrible reviews and bad complaints.

I purchased a 2016 ***************** from Limerock Motors in ********* ** on 5/23/2023. The next day the engine light came on. I took the car to my mechanic because the 30 day warranty states it only covers engine/ transmission (" safety issues" per owner ***********************). My mechanic changed a couple of sensor did an oil change and tune up. We drove the car about 6miles when we could no longer put it in gear and it started smoking from the hood and exhaust pipe. I called Limerock because now it's definitely an engine /transmission issue " safety issue. They had me tow the to their mechanic. A day later they called and told the car was fine, only to call me 20 minutes later to say the car is smoking again. I had the car a total of two days and now the car is inoperable and sit on their lot keys and all. The owner ****** is refusing me a refund or any other situation. He states the Lemon law does not cover the car since it' s *******, however he gave me a 30 day warranty. I had the car two days. On the warranty it states the car will pass inspection. There is no way it will. Please look at all his past ****** reviews and BBB complaints. they all say the same thing. This must come to an end. Limerock is selling faulty cars and getting away with. All I want is my hard earned money back. Please assist me in doing so. Thank you.Business Response

Customer came in to buy a vehicle, took three vehicles for test drive. Settled on a 2016 *******************. The customer driving it. They said a light was on in the dash. It was flashing on and off. I told them that we would address their concern proceeded to give us of the verbal agreement that they're buying the vehicle. The end of the day we took the vehicle home test. Drove it for the weekend. Tried to duplicate the lights that they said were coming on. Could not duplicate. Only light on the dash was a TPS light which is a tire pressure sensor. Could not duplicate any lights flashing in the dash. If it's an engine light, an engine light comes on stays on or flashes we could not duplicate it. Got the vehicle ready. Customer came in. Explain to them. We couldn't duplicate what they were saying and took possession of the vehicle signed all the documents I uploaded them. Customer takes possession of the vehicle vehicle drives fine.. calls ** 5 days later and says that her transmission let go on the car and that the car was smoking. I said okay. I'll send it to my mechanic to look at it. They delivered the vehicle to the mechanic following day and went to the mechanic shop and ask them about the transmission. He said there's nothing wrong with the vehicle at that point. We called the customer and told them that the vehicle was ready for pickup and it was no issue with the vehicle transmission.. as we were driving it back to the dealership, the vehicle started smoking. We contacted the customer and told them that the vehicle was smoking... Now unbeknownst to us she had taken the vehicle and had some service work done to it claiming that the engine light came on and provided me with a repair order. I said why didn't you tell me this when you called me and told me the transmission was defective. She said that I didn't need to worry about it because I had nothing to do with me. Well it does cuz if she told me that she serviced the vehicle at a third party location. I would have never took possession of the vehicle. Upon knowing that the mechanic did some work to the vehicle. I told her that I am not responsible for third-party repairs and that the problem is not mine that her mechanic needs to look at the vehicle and address any concerns that she has. 48 hours later on memorial Day she comes in with her brother-in-law, her husband and her telling me that the vehicle is defective and they're entitled to a refund. I told him that they weren't that they bought the vehicle that has ******* miles and the ************* state law. There is no warranty except for safety. She said she doesn't care. She only had the car for 6 days and that I'm obligated to refund her money. At that point, the three of them started bullying me and telling me that if I did not refund them their money that they would destroy my business and do all kind of derogatory reviews online which they've started. having a conversation with them. She told me that I have mental health issues that I'm a liar and that all I did was clear the engine light and give her the vehicle. At which point I explained to her there is no benefit in me. Just clearing the light because I am ultimately responsible to make sure the vehicle passes state inspection. So by her taking the vehicle and having her own mechanic do some mechanical engine work which I provided the repair order. She waved her her rights. She signed all the documents stating that if there's a defect in the vehicle that she should bring it back to us for safety. And she was offered an extended warranty which she declined documents provided. With that being said, she called the police on me thinking that the police were going to resolve the issue and the police told them that this is a civil issue that she can file a complaint and to remove their vehicle. At that point I had the police have no trespassing order on them so they don't come back and harass ** which they have continued with phone calls and negative reviews online. Unfortunately for her she doesn't know how to accept a contract that she signed. 35 years in business. This is the most pathetic response I ever got. I always take care of my customers it is in my best interest. Unfortunately, they're very deceptive, threatening and telling me that they're going to do physical and bodily harm to me. She needs to take the vehicle back to her mechanic because he did something.. and while all of this is transpiring, she's praising him on what a great mechanic he is but refuses to take the vehicle to him and have him reinspect it and see what damage was caused by his repairs..Customer Answer
