This job was preformed back in November of 2020. We where hired to install a replacement unit only by the customer due to the premature failure of the original unit. During the initial site visit all errors about the original installation were pointed out to the customer along with a few other components that should be replaced due to corrosion. We made the recommendation to the customer to redo most of the original install to match the manufacture installation manual. The customer also agreed, that was the best course of action as well. The customer wanted to break the installation up into two segments. Segment one was to preform the boiler swap asap to get the tenant back up with heat due to the time of year. Segment two was to re pipe the boiler and vent to match the manufacture installation manual. When spring time came along the customer let us know he was unemployed at the moment and would contact us for segment two but never did. Segment one was performed and installed to meet the safety requirements of manufacture, plumbing and gas code. If segmented two was completed along with all annual maintenances recommended by the manufacture these issues with the unit could of been prevented.
