Putting this here to hopefully save someone a big headache and alot of money. I hired Chops to renovate my home. At first, everything seemed to good to be true, being I was previously taken adv. of by a different contractor and the first job was never completed. I was told by ****** ****** that he had a "big crew", they would get in my house and knock out the job within 2 weeks. The first day was great! had a crew in there, got the demolition part done the first 2 days. I was so excited and really thought... wow! this company is going to be great. Man, was i fooled. Never again did we see a "big crew" or did we have someone working in my house on a daily basis for an extended period of time. 2 guys would show up, usually no earlier than 10, 11. Would do an hour or two of work..or hang a fan or put on a door knob..and would be gone. Not to mention, on the first day of them tearing walls down in my bathrooms, the electrical switches and outlets, from that day on, stopped working, damn near electrocuted my husband oneday, and still...after almost 8 weeks of having him and his "electrician" attempt to fix the problem, still not fixed as of today. ****** would continually text me saying...this week we will be done, or...by next wednesday we will be finished and i will collect the remaining balance of the contract. well, needless to say, that was 100% not happening. i had to send him a list of everything still not done and take pics for proof to tell him THE JOB IS NOT EVEN CLOSE TO BEING COMPLETE! STILL SO MUCH TO BE DONE! I was lied to on so many different days that it became laughable. I was talked to in the most horrible way, disrespected, and even threatened by him at one point to where i had to tell him to get off of my porch before i call the police! Needless to say, after 7 1/2 weeks, job still not done, I fired HIM! I will not give him another penny! No one knew what they were doing! Horrible job! Messy! Good luck!
