      This occurred Wednesday, **** *** **** at aproxamately 7:59PM. I had an extension for my electricity to pay it on **** ** however I did not realize it had to be paid before **** ** otherwise, **** ** at 9AM, lights will be disconnected. So I called and asked for a few more hours on my extension because I do not get paid until 3PM on **** **. First, I was told no so I asked for a supervisor. I left a voicemail for the supervisor to call me. She did. at 7:59PM I received a phone call from the rudest, most disrespectful supervisor I have ever spoken to. First, she straight up said no, we will not extend it at all. I explained my situation and told her that my account shows it isn’t due until **** **. She argued with me and told me it was due on the 17th, very unprofessionally might I add. So I proceeded to explain that my bill hasn’t even fully generated yet (it was only showing half of the page) so she says “Ma’am, you owe XXX amount of money so it really doesn’t matter what the bill has done. When I said “you are very rude, where is your supervisor?” she says “she will be in tomorrow, goodbye ma’am” CLICK - hangs up IN MY FACE. I have never seen such disrespect coming from a supervisor to a customer. It isn’t like I have options and can go get service somewhere else, heck, I have to pay it! I just needed a few more hours but was denied such a small reasonable request and then to be spoken to like I am a peasant, is just awful

      By far the worst utility company I have EVER encountered. Unfortunately this is the only electric company that services my area. If I could give negative stars I would.

      First contact I spoke to a representative that basically couldn't answer any of my questions so I asked to speak to a supervisor. The representative basically transferred me to a more professional sounding representative which I didn't find out until I asked to review a phone call in regards to being misinformed about my billing information, and being told by the supervisor that only supervisors can review phone calls. I literally record every encounter I have with them for personal record at this point.

      Fast forward to two months of getting the run around and misleading communication about payment arrangements that I received no contact about until after they defaulted and having to pay $1300 total due to my services being disconnected.

      After making the full payment due I called to ask when my service would be reconnected in 30 degree weather and was told that they could tell me where a warm shelter was in my area because they will basically get to it when they can.

      Very unprofessional!!! Anyone that only has the option for SWEPCO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I am actually considering moving to a new state simply to not have to deal with my electric company which is ridiculous!
