I made a claim last year in august. I took it to the Cadillac dealer to get fixed. It sat there 2 weeks before any work was done. The Cadillac dealer has a list of problems related to the accident that needed to be addressed. ****** the appraiser did not want to take care of anything besides my strut. The reason why is the appraiser ****** kept arguing parts and pricing with the dealer. ****** the appraiser told me he was not going to put the same Gm strut in my vehicle that I had, but he wanted to put in a aftermarket strut. He finally convinced me to use the aftermarket part assuring me that I would not know the difference. I had to pay $500 deductible and also another $300 in labor because he said insurance wasnt going to cover it all . As soon as I got the car out I put it in storage with my other belongings because I had already moved from where I was at. I went back to indiana and Im **** I had my vehicle shipped back to indiana. My service suspension light has not gone off. I took it to my mechanic and he said the aftermarket strut wires were cut to fit it on. Then my passenger side sits higher than my driver side. So I had *********** wear out on the inside and my passenger tire wear out on the outside. I had to pay $400 for 2 new front tires. I called the general yesterday and explained my problem to them. They said that its not their problem basically. Now I would have to pay out of my pocket for a s**** up on their part. Also they didnt fix my bumper that now hangs and they didnt fix my plastic cover on the bottom. They used the same broke one and used twist ties to hold it in. I just want my car running the way it was before I made my claim. They can take that aftermarket strut off that I didnt want in the first place so my car can sit even finally. Plus my bumper fixed and my plastic cover on the bottom replaced. They made me pay my deductible plus a extra $300 for labor that they would not cover just to have my vehicle screwed up.
