    Engaged what I thought was an established, licensed and bonded, local tree removal service run by Cory and Marcus Harper. They claim to have 20 years service in the field but I have not located any such confirmation. They were engaged to cut down four trees encroaching the rear fence line of my property at an agreed upon price of $1000.00 cash. We agreed that I would be responsible for disposal of the tree debris, under the agreed upon premise that the debris would be contained on the exterior side of the fence. Instead, they dropped the major portion of the trees and debris into my fenced back yard , declining to place it outside the fence as earlier discussed and agreed upon. Today, I was told a different story, that they had a "drop and leave" procedure. But, again the majority of the tree debris could have easily been dropped on the OUTSIDE of the yard/fence. They chose to burden my wife and I, of advanced age and with detrimental medical exigencies, to remove some very heavy and lengthely portions of trees (cut up in LARGE heavy sections instead of what is the norm with tree removal, 4-5 feet in length mostly) as well as tree debris. This company appears to be one exercising tactics known as "bait and switch" endeavors.

    I have subsequently learned that this entity is entirely without valid credentials, possibly operating in an illegal and potentially criminal manner.  Bait and switch type operation demanding cash payments only.   Also, the majority of their online comments from other alleged users of their "services" are contrived, made up falsehoods perpetrated by individuals close to or related to their base of operations.   They allege to be based in Minden, La but are actually out of Shreveport, LA, another deceptive practice, not local at all. 

Harper Tree Service is NOT a BBB Accredited Business.
