    I purchased leather sofa and loveseat from them 2.5 years ago. I paid ******* (not cheap) for the set. I figured in paying this amount for furniture it was a good quality. The leather at the seams start to flake off the backing material in the seat part of the cushions. We are not abusive w our furniture and take care of our furnishings. I ve always bought quality things figuring it would last longer. I called Hurwitz Mintz to see what they could do in this case. I received a very cold answer saying the furniture has a one year manufacture warranty and since its past this time there is nothing we can do. They were unwilling to even send someone out to look at it. Considering what I paid for the sofa I would think they would be interested in at least seeing the issue and contact manufacturer on the quality of the product. Instead I received a flat, nothing we can do. Very disappointed w customer service and will never buy from them again!!!!

    Horrible customer service. Maggie, the “manager” refused to give my Mother a refund on an item that she purchased but never took delivery. Rude, condescending, and unwilling to provide a refund on something that my Mother did not need.

    We selected a sectional leather sofa. We sat on it for 15 -20 minutes while waiting for our salesman to return. We held a conversation with him and finally decided we would purchase it on 5/14/23.It was delivered on 5/19/23.We were out of town the day after delivery for one week. Once we started to use the sectional we noticed the foam seat cushions lacked support and anyone would sink deep into the sofa. Actually making it difficult to get out of it. The head rest is actually too thick as it pushes your head forward to an un comfortable position. This is not how the show room floor model was. I contacted Hurwitz Mintz when we returned home. The asked me send photographs.l did. I asked if someone could come to our home and to experience our issues. I didnt ask for a refund. I asked for an exchange for something equal or less in cost. That was denied as our 5 day warranty expired. We are senior citizens no kids, no pets non smokers. We paid $4,560.62 for a sectional we can no longer use. We were taken advantage of.Now we can no longer use it as we are suffering from back and neck problems.Were at a loss both of a sectional and financially. I would rate Hurwitz Mintz ZERO STARS if it was an option.

    ************************ purchased a ************* sectional that was delivered 5/19/23. Our records show that ************************ contacted Hurwitz Mintz customer service 6/23/23 stating that the sectional was not comfortable. It was determined that the sectional had no manufacturing defects and sits the way it is designed to sit. Our return policy states that merchandise can be returned for refund or exchange if we are contacted within five days of delivery. The sectional had been in the customers house for over a month. Any merchandise that is determined to have no defects must be returned very soon after delivery so that it can be put back into inventory and sold as new. We are unable to guarantee furniture to be new that has been in someones house for over a month.

    Hurtz Mintz has an unsatisfied customer with a recent purchase of a leather sofa set; the pillows inside the couch and loveseat are different. The furniture manufacturer has sent the pads, but Hurtz Mintz refuses to install the pads while the furniture is under warranty. A representative from HM visited my home and evaluated the cushions on the sofa and loveseat and determined the pillows were different. I should not have to spend an additional $2,000 for a couch and loveseat that cost me $8,000.00. Please, someone help me with this matter.

    On May 18th, my sister and I visited Hurwitz Mintz with the intention of purchasing furniture for a project with a significant budget. Our encounter with *****, our salesperson, left us feeling uneasy. It seemed as though ***** was carrying over a negative attitude from a previous customer interaction, which reflected in our experience. Unfortunately, we felt belittled as ***** used terms like "economical," "sale," and "closeout" within minutes of explaining the store layout to **.During our visit, we inquired about cash and carry options. ***** informed ** that purchases had to be paid in full before 4 PM. Although her response was slightly insulting, we brushed it off. I then requested a specific quantity of items, and ***** confirmed she had four in stock. However, when I expressed my desire to purchase all four, she suddenly claimed that one of them couldn't be found. This inconsistency was frustrating. Instead of being guided through the order placement process like other customers, we were directed to the finance area, which left us confused. The overall checkout process was painful and added to our discomfort.Upon leaving the store, my sister and I felt uneasy and uncertain about the entire shopping experience. It was not merely a matter of poor service; the entire encounter was uncomfortable from start to finish. On Saturday, May 20th, I returned to Hurwitz Mintz to gather some measurements and re-evaluate a table we were considering. As I entered, the receptionist kindly greeted me, acknowledging that she remembered me from my previous visit. However, our conversation was abruptly interrupted by another associate named *******, who displayed rudeness toward both me and the receptionist. I had entered the store with a tape measure in hand, ready to make a purchase, but instead, I was met with hostility. I hope that by sharing my story, improvements can be made within the company to ensure that no other customer has to endure such an unpleasant experience.
