Over Labor Day weekend in September 2025 I was out of town. My AC unit was turned off. Upon returning home it would not work. My AC repair man indicated there was a power surge that burnt two parts in the AC unit. The parts had to be replaced and the cost was $500 to repair the AC unit. There were no storms this weekend and all neighbors said there was no power outage. This surge to my house was caused by Cleco. I want to be reimbursed the cost of the service to replace these two parts. I filed a claim with Cleco directly but they replied with an email to call the 1.800 number that is automated; no one answers the phone.

Following a comprehensive review of the your account,
Cleco found no record of a claim or complaint concerning a power surge over
Labor Day weekend. On October 21, 2025, a representative from Cleco's customer
service department attempted to contact you and left a voicemail with
instructions on how to file a claim. Cleco remains devoted and diligent in the pursuit of excellent customer service. Cleco representatives will make another
attempt to reach out and assist you.

    Hi there,

Today the Cleco rep called me and I returned the phone call.   A complaint has been filed with the Cleco rep via the phone call.   I did file a complaint first with Cleco online, however, the online system indicated I needed to call the Cleco number as the claim could not be filed online.   Calling the number simply sent me through an automated loop.   Thus, I used the BBB for assistance.  Obviously if Cleco were more customer centric it would not be this difficult to file a complaint regarding damage on a power surge.

    Regards,
