K-Towing was paid for a service in the amount of $191 to tow a vehicle 40 plus miles. Roadside assistance was only able to cover up to ten miles, thus resulting in the price above. The car was taken to the drop off location where employees instructed the driver that he couldnt leave the vehicle due to the tires not being there just yet. The tires were in transit and an installation appointment was already set. At this point the driver took the vehicle to a storage unit back in the original city 40 plus miles away from the drop off location. This has been racking up over night fees as well as the cost of the tow to the unit and the need to tow the vehicle back to the drop off location. Upon contacting the drop off location we were made aware that the vehicle could have been left there. Miscommunication and lack of business operation knowledge resulted in over $500 in fees that is now falling back onto the owner of the vehicle. Roadside assistance did not instruct the owner that being there at either pick up or drop off location was necessary as the option of yes or no was given upon service booking. Neither the towing company, the drop off location, or the roadside assistance are assisting in their faults of this situation to come to a solution. The owner of the vehicle has been without a car for a week now while needing to find ways to get to work. There was no paperwork signed by the owner stating that the car could be taken to a storage unit if the drop off location was not willing to accept the vehicle, nor was it necessary for the driver to be present in the locations of the car at any point. There are numerous excuses and stories floating around to avoid fault so that the owner is ******* takes full responsibility for costs and fees. The owner is not and will not be taking on those responsibilities as she was not at fault in this instance. This has been unfortunate and extremely inconvenient. If this matter cannot be resolved, legal action while be taken.
