Stonewall Transmission, LLC Response

Joshua ******* ***** on X-XX-XXXX brought a 2014 Ford Focus with 166,412 miles to Stonewall Transmission. Upon inspection it was noted the vehicle did not move. During inspection with a Snapon modis scanner the code P287A Clutch B Stuck Engaged was attained. This is a common code that requires R&R of the transmission, a 7.2 hour job. After removal a visual inspection showed that the clutch lining on the B clutch was burned completely off requiring a replacement of the entire clutch assembly. The vehicle was then driven on a 20 mile break in procedure test drive where it drove great with no problems. Approximately 2 months later on X-XX-XXXX the vehicle was driven to Stonewall Transmission by Joshua ******* ***** for a intermittent shifting issue that was not able to be recreated on a test drive. During inspection with the scanner it was noted and commented to them that a different code had been stored. A P07A3 Shift Element A was the new code. That is a code related to a TCM computer malfunction, not a clutch malfunction. Stonewall Transmission contacted Ford for a new replacement where they said it would be a 2 month wait for us to buy one. We asked the customer if they would try a used computer for $150 which was our cost to which they said yes. It worked for about 1 month but started having issues and a full refund of the computer was given. Before Joshua ******* ***** picked up their car we researched the problem with Jimmy Granger Ford where they said there was a recall on the TCM on the focus with the DPS6 transmission for a FREE TCM replacement by the dealer to the owner with the "Customer Satisfaction Program 14M02". Over the phone before delivery of vehicle, Shannon ***** was instructed to take the car to the dealer Jimmy Granger Ford that is less than one mile away because they would take care of this issue. One week later there is a bad BBB review for an issue with their car that does not involve Stonewall Transmission but rather a simple free recall with Ford Motor Company for a computer replacement. We then called Jimmy Granger Ford to see if the work had been performed to which they stated they had not seen the vehicle yet. Joshua ******* ***** was then contacted and asked to bring the car back so that we could take the Focus to the dealer to get the recall performed and we were told they could not because they had sold the vehicle. At the time of the bad BBB review, Joshua ******* ***** took their issue to Social Media (Facebook) where they slandered Stonewall Transmission to then ask (blackmail) for a full refund and they would remove the untruthful and negative multiple post they had created.
