On 04/16/2024, I went to Regal ************************** in ******* for a pedicure and manicure fill-in. We arrived around 4:45-5pm. This nail salon closes at 6:45pm. I paid my balance ($35) and gave the woman who did my pedicure a $5 tip. I checked out at around 6:10-6:15p. The owner had left at 6pm. At my time of checkout, I was the only customer and there were three female employees still in the shop. I had $140 left in cash after paying my balance. I sat the cash on the counter as I rushed to grab my items (shoes, socks, and car keys) and then hurried out because once again the shop was close to closing. Once I arrived home, I realized my money was not with me. I called the nail salon the next morning (04/17/2024) at 9:09am to speak with the owner and find out if my money had been placed behind the counter or in a office. The owner told me that he turns his cameras off at 6pm and that no one saw my money. He also proceeded to laugh at me saying no one saw your money last night. I asked him if he could play the cameras back for me so I can see what happened to my money. He told me he was not playing his cameras for me, no one saw it, and hung up in my face. I contacted our local sheriffs office and got them involved as well. They told me they were just going to wash it out. I made an awareness post and the owner commented underneath with laughing emojis and laughed at the post. I worked hard for that money and to have his employee just take it from me KNOWING it does not belong to them is not okay. Please see that something is done. I want my money back.

This individual, did come to the salon and did get the service that she required. She mentioned that she left $140 on the counter at the receptionist desk but none of my employees seen her put any money or items down on the counter. My camera is turned off at 6pm because of wifi service limit requirements. She also claimed that I laughed at her when she ask about it, that is false. I only ask why did she left cash on a counter that would accessible to the public when the business is closed. Our shop doorway is closed by a chained gate  She contacted ******************* and they also told her that they cant do anything about it because the fact that it is cash. She insisted and the officer came to my business and I cooperated with the officer. I have shown him the video surveillance that was available, but there was none at the required time because of the fact that I mentioned earlier. Our camera is turned off at that time. As for the post on her social media she mentioned I laughed at the post. I only laughed because she lied about me hanging up in her face when she was the one that told me she will be contacting ******************* and then preceded to hang up in my face. I understand she have lost money but it isnt our responsibility to keep up with other people's belongings.  We can hold things for our clients until they come and get it but when you talk about cash its hard because of other clients or people walking off with it who arent employees of the salon. Our employees know better to just take money thats laying around. That is all I need to say. I thank you for contacting me about the complaint and appreciate time taken out to address this complaint.
