Brought my husband's work truck, a running vehicle, into this company for a transmission rebuild. We get the call that the work is done 3 days after dropping the vehicle off. Time to pick up the truck and my husband leaves there within the hour, hears a chirping noise so goes straight back to this shop only to be told "nothing wrong". Gets home and parks truck hoping the sound is "nothing". Wake up next morning to crank truck up for work and engine blows right here in our driveway. We call shop back and tell him what is happening so he came to our home and runs a code reader but says whatever is wrong has nothing to do with their work. Just quite odd to have a running vehicle with no engine code when we brought it to his shop and not even 24 hours after paying this man $3,150 our truck engine blows. All I know is we drove that vehicle there and all it had trouble with was shifting and Kersey said all we needed was transmission work after his own diagnosis and we get it back and now it is completely broke down? and this guy is paid cash and takes no responsibility. I understand that your transmission and your engine are two completely different parts of the vehicle, but bad transmission work can damage your engine! Kersey Transmission on Brown Road in Denham Springs LA is the name of shop. I believe there was neglect on their part that caused this breakdown and the very least they can do is own up to it and fix this situation by giving us back proper compensation. And now with the engine not running we can't even test out his transmission to know if he even really did any of the work he was paid for! and I feel like this person took our money and expected to get more out of us by trying to get more work out of us I feel he needs to be investigated.
