    Few months back I decided to help my gf out in getting a interlock installed in car ,sharps body shop in Clayton la is the company she decided to use because it was close to where we lived and it is a company that's on the list from the shady company turns out called intoxalock out of IA .Sharps body shop installed a faulty interlock in my car witch in doing so disable my car , the equipment was faulty and out of date .They refused to installe the right interlock and blamed intoxalock and when I would call intoxalock they blamed sharps , leaving me with out a way of resolve ing the issue and inturn sharps had the nerve to charge me close to 400 dallors to take the faulty product out I was reluctant to use this company because growing up here all my life I always heard sharps body shop where ****** but against my better judgement I used them anyway and bought that lesson.Neather company would take responsibility in resolve ing this issue both parties blamed each other .

    To Whom it may concern: I am Jerry Sharp, Jr. I am the owner/operator of Sharp's Services,LLC. I appreciate the opportunity to respond to this review as I handled most of this myself. We are often put in difficult situations as a service center for the Intoxalock units. Some of what Mr Mark said is true. The unit we installed was faulty. We have absolutely no control over the operational abiilty of the units. We install the units and do the re-calibrations when needed. We are not able nor liable for the performance of the equipment itself. The unit was installed by one of our lead technicians. He is an ASE Master certified technician with over 25yrs experience. When we discovered that the unit was not operating in a normal fashion, we notified the customer and the Intoxalock company. I felt bad for the customer, but it was nothing I could do about it. We are bound by contract and law to only install and/or remove as we are given work orders. After the installation, the customer, Mr Mark, drove his vehicle from our shop then contacted us not able to start the vehicle. I sent my technician to the vehicle and disabled the unit so the vehicle could be used. I did not charge the customer for the service call. I then found out that Mark stopped payment on the credit card that was used for payment.
    I tried my best to work with the customer in explaining that we are not able to remove the unit until ordered by the company. I contacted the company to let them know the situation that I had disabled the unit. Intoxalock then contacted Mark to let him know what needed to happen. I did require payment for the installation and removal of the unit. I did not charge for the service call.
    I wish and hope that the customer would understand that we are not in any way able to modify or program the equipment. We have worked to run an honest business ever since our being established in 1985. We strive to handle each and every customer with genuine care and integrity.
