This company was previously notified through a CFPB complaint that I do not recognize this debt and requested validation. In response, the company stated that they are not a debt collector and therefore are not obligated to validate the debt under the FDCPA.

Following that, I requested documentation to substantiate my responsibility for this account, including any signed agreement, application, or contract. The company claimed that information was sent directly to me; however, I never received any such documentation.

I am now formally requesting that all supporting documents proving I am liable for this account be submitted through the BBB platform. Do not contact me by mail or through any means outside of the BBB. Given that I did not receive the previous mailing, I will not take that risk again and am ceasing all direct communication.

This company is in violation of the FCRA. As a furnisher, you are required to ensure maximum accuracy, yet Experian and Equifax are reporting conflicting "date last reported" and "date last active" fields. You're also furnishing incorrect payment history. The account has been closed with no activity since 2022, yet monthly payment data continues through April 2025.

Additionally, reporting "CO" every month, then suddenly "OK" in March and April 2025, is contradictory and misleading for a charged-off account. If you are unable to verify this account with proper documentation, I am requesting that it be removed from all consumer reporting agencies to which you have reported it. The account listed on my credit report is 336100XXXXXXX.

I had made a title loan on my car. I was going through a divorce fighting for custody for my child so I needed to make a loan out to get a new lawyer. I also atthe time had to move and I got behind on my payments. They’re saying I call I receive calls and I have not received any calls they have left no messages letting me know anything and they took my car away from me now it’s showing up on my credit as arepo for more than what the loan was made when I contacted them the next day to try to get my vehicle back, they want almost $7000 for me to get my vehicle back. I couldn’t afford that and I understand that that was my fault that I was late, butthere was no working with me from them at all so now I noticed that it’s on my credit for more than what the loans worth and I can’t get a vehicle. I have been having to pay Uber and back people for rides all over so what they’re telling me that the loan gonna be what I owed for the loan and they took my car so I’m not understanding why because my car is worth more than $10,000.

I am writing this complaint . I am Samolian Indian female. I am from Bronx NY. I have sons that are Samolian Indian males. My sons are ****** ***** ****** ******* ***** ***** and ******* ******* ****** My complaint is I am going through financial abuse , emotional abuse and physical abuse and I need to get this signature loan to get out of a situation and becable to start a new life over by myself . I am dealing with my husband, ******* ***** and being with him has not been a healthy relationship. And it has been has been proven that if you are in abusive relationships you will always have financial problems and the abuser will never stop until you will not have anything and you will be emotionally deprived and socially deprived. Anyway, the reason I want to make a complaint on Republic Finance on **** ******* *** ** *** * ***** ** ***** because ******* ****** , the Manager is lying about the fact I do not have anything on my credit report because the Fair Reporting Act laws require that the 3 credit bureaus on your credit file do report all of your credit and it does not matter when you had the credit and what date you stopped using credit you will always have credit on your credit file because the laws require that you have something on your file as long as you have a social security number, youor had at least,

had one credit card in your lifetime ,had a place you lived at where you applied or used your social security number to apply for a credit decision that required obtaining your fico credit score . Thst is the main reason ******* should had given me the signature loan and tge fact she never pulled my credit report or she would not had said I never had a credit card so I do not have any credit to report on my credit report I
I should have gotten the loan for $6,200 and she said something about a title loan and I did not ask for a title loan. I told ******* ****** I do not have a car, so I do not expect to get a title loan.

I’m filing this complaint against Republic Finance for inaccurate and harmful credit reporting. The account was opened in March 2019 with an 18-month term, yet they are still reporting it as active and showing 90+ day late payments through 2025, even though I have not made a single payment since 2019–2020.

What’s worse — they are falsely reporting that I’m under a partial payment agreement, which is completely untrue. I’ve made no payment arrangements or payments in years. This is a serious misrepresentation and is misleading all 3 credit bureaus (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion).

The account should have been closed long ago, yet they continue updating the balance and delinquency status, inflating my debt and damaging my credit profile. I’ve already filed a complaint with the CFPB, and now I’m turning to the BBB because this company’s behavior is unfair, inaccurate, and unethical.

Because of this misleading reporting, I was recently denied a credit limit increase by ******* *** (see attached denial letter), which directly impacts my credit utilization and score. This is blocking my ability to qualify for a mortgage, despite my efforts to maintain positive credit behavior. I am requesting that Republic Finance be held accountable and that this account be deleted or corrected immediately across all three credit bureaus

      Complaint: 23243532

I am rejecting this response because:

I do not accept this response from Republic Finance.

The company is continuing to report this nearly 7-year-old account inaccurately and inconsistently across the credit bureaus. The account has already been deleted from Equifax, but remains on TransUnion and/or Experian, which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act due to inconsistent and harmful reporting.
Their response avoids responsibility and offers no real resolution. This account is severely damaging my ability to qualify for a mortgage loan, and delaying action is unacceptable.
I request that Republic Finance delete the account from all credit bureaus to ensure consistency and to stop the credit harm it’s causing.
I’m prepared to escalate this legally if the issue is not fully resolved.

      Sincerely,
      ********* *******

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 23139703, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

For only the reason I expect that an actual response and not a reject answer to make themselves look good is out of the Business's capabilities.

      Sincerely,

      ****** *********

My first transaction with this business was in 2021. I paid off that loan and Continue business with them. My last loan was paid off in full on February 28, 2025. I received an alert on my credit report almost a month later stating that I owe them $9. Which was completely false. The account was paid off in full. I tried reaching out to the company, to no success.
