    My truck was taken to Quality Truck and Trailer LLC on December 25th, 2024 as I broke down on Christmas Day. I was told the normal "road call fees" would be waived. However, upon driving my truck to the mechanic's own shop, I was charged nearly $400 just for him to plug his computer into my truck. Since I was trying to get Home for the Holidays, I hadn't disputed this charge but thought it was outrageous to begin with. Then, my truck exhibited the code that caused it to shutdown- *** **** *** * indicating an electrical problem due to failure to read the ACM to the MCM and such. However, the next week, the mechanic told me that I was would need an entirely NEW MCM costing $2300! All in all the repair bill totaled $6339.86 to change the MCM and clean the DPF Filters!! As I spoke with other reputable mechanics, they had mentioned that I was OVERCHARGED by at least $2,000! Now, less than a week later, I had the SAME code *** **** *** * stop my truck. When I took it in, all that it needed was an new ACM Wire Harness costing less than $2,000! The shop also mentioned that the other repairs were likely NOT needed! I tried to work it out just to get a small refund due to me having to take the truck back in for the SAME repair that was supposed to have been fixed and the original mechanic made excuses saying he had fixed the problem and refused to provide any reimbursement. Businesses that purposefully overcharge for repairs should be not be in business as they are making small ones like mine reach the brink of bankruptcy.
