On 3/1/2023 I took my car to Shelton's for paint and body repair. I was told in a text that it would take 2-3 weeks to complete. Over the course of the next 6 months, Shelton's would work a little on mine, then push it aside to begin other projects. I received multiple calls and messages stating that it needed a lot of work, and that something had broken on the car and needed replacement; I would order the part immediately as requested and take to their shop. In mid-August, I contacted ***** ******* and told him that I would be needing my car back, the 2-3 week job had turned into 6 months. I was able to pick up my car on September 1st. When I did so, I noted that the interior/exterior was covered in white powder; ***** stated that this was paint dust from sanding and assured me that it would vacuum out/wash off. We drove it home and the headlights immediately stopped working. (Through multiple trips to an unrelate shop dangerous miswiring was noted to be the cause from Shelton's wiring.) Upon washing, we noted that there are numerous cracks, scratches, bubbles, and pock-marks in the paint. There are areas with no paint, areas with no clear coat, and overspray onto areas where paint should not be, as well as locations with color from other paint projects that had been sprayed next to my car. We found that the windshield and side windows now leak; they did not before. The doors and windows no longer close properly or seal. There is white sanding powder concreted on and staining multiple areas. While attempting to vacuum the paint powder, we found multiple cigarette burns on the new carpet, a large bulge in the floor pan where the car was jacked up outside of a jack point, and holes drilled into door panels. All not there before. Several original parts are missing as well. ***** ******* assured me that he would make it right. He and his shop have now been avoiding contact with me and have ignored attempts to meet, and mediation from the Attorney General's office.
