    I hired *** ****** of T and J remodeling June 8th to build stairs off a deck, a hand rail to stairs and to look for a leak in upstairs bathroom at my home, i paid 1180 dollars via **** ** for services. He began the work and my daughter had a major leak in her upstairs bathroom, as it is her only bathroom with a shower/tub. I asked *** ****** if this was a job he did and was assured yes. He then stopped the work at my home and went to fix that leak. He reported on the problem, gave a price to fix of 1050 , i again paid via **** **p.. he stated it was fixed . Within minutes of him leaving it was leaking. He returned the following day and then stated the pipes all needed to be replaced and explained they were very old and encased in cement, stated it would be much easier to replace them if tub was removed, so we then agreed to replacing tub and shower , shower surround, all pipes and fixtures. replacing some tile etc.. he stated he had a new tub and surround and we agreed to purchase from him for 750 according to my **** **p payments. the new price for labor and material was 3000, i paid 2500 plus 750 for tub so.. 3250 and Houston , my daughters boyfriend paid him 500 also i belive thru **** **p. so a total of 4800, that with the 1180 paid for repairs that were not completed , 5980. he was unable to fix the leak at daughters house, tub was wrong size, was installed incorrectly onto no support floor, on 2x4s.. the fixtures were installed incorrectly, , was un functional. my daughter had no way to bathe children for over 3 weeks, a new contractor was hired, contractor stated had they used the tub *** ****** installed it would have gone thru the floor, likely with 2 kids age 1 and 2 inside. I have cancer , *** ****** was aware, finished chemo and surgery. It disturbs me he refused to refund money to a cancer victim, and my grandkids could of been seriously injured. His ads state insured and licensed, yet he has refused any refund.
