    After having my crawlspace sealed, the HVAC contractor came out to adjust fan speed of the downstairs unit. The technician left without indicating any problems occurred with his service. I then received a call some days later from the company who said they were coming out to see what was wrong with the Accuclean air cleaner. Apparently, and unknown to me, the first technician who adjusted the fan speed of the main unit could not get the air cleaner to reset and turn back on. The 2nd technician left with the door of the air cleaner telling me that spiders had short circuited the board. Ok. I called the company a few days later, not having heard what was going on, was told that they needed to replace a circuit board card, and the door. Cost approximately 1400. {card was $500 or so, and door was approximately $900)). I was advised it would take 3 weeks to get the parts. After 3 weeks, I called to get update on the status. Was told that the door was in. That the door contained the card, so no need for 2 parts. The technician came out to replace door. I asked about the confusion. I was told that they had to order the door because he had no way of knowing which card was bad since there were 2 cards that came with the door. I received a bill for $1400+. I called the company and asked why I was being charged for a card and the door, since I was told I only needed the door which contained the card. The person I spoke with had no idea. I paid the invoice, but I feel that someone has not been telling me the truth.
