1 starI’ve never had worst customer service. They gave me 2 quotes online and on the phone both the exact same. They Upcharged me $300 when I got here. The first time I was here they scratched my rims, and I have to pay to get them reloaded coated. I let them know when I got here, and asked if they could be careful this time. He said “ok” I didn’t even say sorry.
I will drive all the way back to Michigan or Indianapolis to get my car serviced from now on. 0/10 I would not recommend anyone come here. They will charge you more than they said and don’t take responsibility for the mistakes their members make.Neil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

1 starIn Aug of 2023 I purchased a used car from this dealership. As part of the financing, I had to buy an extended warranty. In Dec of 2024 the car broke down and I had it towed there for repairs. After about 6 weeks I was told it was repaired and to pick it up. Upon leaving the car was still driving the same as when it first broke down. I returned the car immediately and told them it was not repaired!! The service dept took the car back and said they would make needed repairs.I told them I needed a loaner and was provided one. 1 week later I was told they made needed repairs except it needed to be sent to a different dealer for more repairsI was given loaner for a short term after which my car was still at the other dealer for repairs! Was later contacted and was told return the loaner or face stolen vehicle charges. WOW! Some customer service. Cant fix my car and send it to someone else and threaten me with a crime! Nope not a good service if you cant repair a car and take away the only transportation. Do not like this type service. Wont but or even recomend buying from Neil HuffmanNeil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

Thank you for your comment. Our records indicate that your vehicle was seen in our service department for a transmission replacement. A loaner vehicle was provided to you for that repair. Following this repair, your vehicle required repairs to the catalytic converter, which were to be completed at an unrelated dealership. As our repairs were complete and you were being serviced by another dealership, we requested the return of our loaner vehicle. I hope you received excellent customer service from the other dealership and I thank you for allowing us to serve you.Review fromWilliam S

1 starBEWARE: these guys don't communicate well and don't follow through. I bought a 2023 Outback in summer 2024 from Huffman Subaru. The process of buying the car went fairly smoothly, but getting the dealership to follow through on our agreement has proven to be impossible. As part of the purchase we agreed that floor mats would be added and Huffman would provide/install a wireless phone charger in the car. The floor mats were provided, but they were "unable" to procure or install the charger before they encouraged me to pick the car up and finalize the purchase. Reluctantly, I went ahead with the purchase and they promised that they would mail me the part, I would get it installed at my local Subaru dealer, and they would reimburse me for that cost. After many calls and emails, they finally shipped me the part. I had it installed (~$380!!) at my local dealer and submitted the receipts to the used car manager, Dakarai A********* the same day with a copy to the general manager and the salesman who both helped with the purchase at Huffman. D****** verified my home address and promised to take care of the rest. After seven emails, verifying my mailing address three more times, and four phone calls, I'm cutting my losses. After each phone call I am told it is an issue with "corporate", D****** will check on the hold up, and "call me right back." There is never a call back. I have received no email responses and no reimbursement has been received to date. This has been going on for over five months now. I give up, my time is worth something. Word to the wise, don't trust these guys and make sure everything is as it should be before leaving the lot with the car. OR, better yet, just go to be better managed dealership.Neil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

1 starI had taken a VW to this location to have it looked over because I was thinking about purchasing the VW from another car lot. I ended up buying a used Hyundai from this location. I was lied from the second I walked in the door to by multiple people. I asked the salesman during the test drive if this was a as is vehicle (because I saw on line Neil Huffman suggest you have as is cars checked by mechanic) he told me no it came with a 90 day warranty. I asked if it covered motor and transmission. He said yes. When I was in signing my loan and title paper work this guy (not the salesman) asked if I wanted an extended warranty. I asked him this car comes with a 90 warranty. Right? He said yes it has a 90 warranty. So second person to tell me I have a 90 day warranty. As soon as I pulled out of the parking lot at a red light I smelt a weird smell. I assumed maybe it was a cleaner or something they us on the engine. I should have turned around and went right back into the place. But I didn't. About 9 days it rained. The wind shield wiper popped off and flew off the car. I called the service center and made an appointment to bring it in. For the wiper and smell. The service center is horrible everyone I talked to was hateful and unhelpful. Once they finally decided which side I needed to be on. I was informed that the car did not have any warranty and was sold as is. I found out the smell is because the whole engine is messed up. The is oil leaking from multiple places on the engine. This was discovered while I was having the air conditioner looked at. The air needs 1200 dollars worth of work to get it to work. Do not buy a used car here. I was lied to and sold a lemon. I obviously understood I needed to have used cars checked. They just flat lied about everything. Companies like this should not be able to do people this way.Review fromJesse V

1 starHuffman Subaru was the worst automobile purchase in our life. My wife chooses the vehicles we purchase because she has more interest in the options than I do. She had decided on a Subaru Outback and went to Huffman Subaru to order a vehicle. She made the order, left a deposit and was given a delivery date. Upon that delivery date, we did not hear from Huffman Subaru, so the next day she called and was told 'your car didn't come in, it should be here next week'. So the next week my wife called and was told 'our' car had been delivered. My wife scheduled a time to finish the paperwork and pick up the new car. When we got to Huffman Subaru and met with the salesperson she told us there was good news and bad news. The good news was that they, Huffman, had found a car 'like' the one we ordered, the bad news was the car we ordered had come in the previous week but another sales person had sold it. To make a long story short, Huffman lies to their customers and participates in the 'bait and switch' plan. We should have stuck to our guns and had our deposit returned and left but we decided to look at the 'switch' car and rather than go through the whole process again, accepted an offer for the FREE extended warranty for our troubles. Turns out by looking at paperwork we have that we likely paid for the FREE extended warranty and received a 'lemon' as well. Unknown to us Subaru had recently lost a class action lawsuit for their vehicles 'burning oil' due to substandard manufacture. This was never mentioned to us but we found out on a return trip from Texas as the Outback we were 'switched' for burned almost 2 quarts on that trip.
To clarify, we purchased the vehicle in 2017 and the oil burning occurred in January of 2023 when the vehicle had approximately 74,500 miles. We haven't made a complaint till this time due to the extended warranty and the fear that Subaru dealers would continue their less than acceptable ways should we need repairs. Avoid Huffman Subaru.Neil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

Thank you for your comment. I have reached out to you via phone and email regarding your issue. I see that your Outback was purchased on Feb 9, 2017. Although I wasn’t here at that time, I deeply regret the frustrations you had with the purchasing process and I can assure you that we now have processes in place now so things like that do not happen anymore.
I checked our records and you received (at no additional charge) a Subaru Extended Service policy for 7 years/100k miles. It also appears that that we have not seen this car for repairs or maintenance since 2018. Your extended service policy was valid until 2/9/2024 and likely would have covered the repair with very little to no money out of your pocket. I regret that we were not given the opportunity to assist you.
Please let me know if there is anything I can do to assist you at this time.
Sincerely,
David Nelson

5 starsAfter leaving my recent review, the manager contacted me in which we discussed about the issue i was having and all. We both straightened out what the real issue was and came to a agreement per say in resolving the issue at hand. The manager discussed what will be changing in the future as far as marketing and service with their customers with the advisors.
I am unable to retract the review i gave previously but the dealership meet with the customers needs and listened to what the customer advised about. Thank you for taking the time and courtesy in discussing the issue that was felt on consumers side of things.Review fromNa******* M

1 starHorrible Customer Service and Dishonest. This dealership has had my vehicle since mid September performing several diagnostics / repairs before finally getting an engine approved through a 3rd party warranty company.
I understand that the process of working with a 3rd party company can cause some down time. However, my vehicle has sat there weeks at a time with no work being done despite being told otherwise. Every deadline or promised timeline was a failure. Updates are non existent. Most recently I was told on 11/15/2022 that the engine arrived, that they was installing the engine on 11/16/2022 and that it would be ready on 11/23/2022.
I stopped by after work on 11/21/2022 to see if it was possible to be completed on 11/22/2022. I was told that most likely not only to look for the vehicle to see that it was still in the spot that it had been for months. The work had not been started in spite of being promised that there would not be any delays in installing it. I am quite certain that yet another deadline will be missed. They were told that this car was for my daughter who is in her senior year of high school, plays sports and works. They have ZERO consideration for customers and have not a clue what customer service means. Customers deserve better than to be lied to directly to their face.
I also ordered a key which I’m also 99% sure that it hasn’t been ordered despite inquiring about it at least 4 times.Neil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

Thank you for your comment. I regret that you were less than satisfied with your recent experience at Neil Huffman VW/Mazda/Subaru. The necessity of seeking vehicle repairs can be a distressing experience and I am pleased that we were able to assist you in seeking coverage for those repairs as well as with your deductible. I hope that the repaired vehicle is meeting your daughter's needs.Review fromDavid M

1 starMy ** jetta was bought there when my clutch went out. I tried to fix it my self and bought a new clutch slave and master cylinder and couldn't get the fluid to take. after almost 2 month of them having my car it started with a new clutch slave is needed and then after a month oh you need a new master cylinder in it. The master cylinder was only a 1 day old and i told them i couldn't get the fluid to take because i didnt have there right exchanger to push the fluid threw the system. it was 1100 then it went to 1900. i told them the master cylinder was new from a****** **** and then they came back and said well it wasn't a authentic ** part and that is what it needed; now it has been sitting in there lot for over a week the fluid line kept popping off and they took a clamp and put on there after the machinic pulled the part apart then rigged it up. i said no after a 1900 dollar fix your going to fix it right. well its not right as i looked at it under the hood im missing a bolt out of the finder and missing my battery cover i have video of the missing parts. now with me writing a bad review they are not touching or wanting to fix my car.Neil Huffman Subaru, Mazda, VW, Collision Center

I am sorry to hear that your experience with our service department did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, due to supply chain issues, the receipt of parts is taking longer than ever before. We appreciate your patience and I am happy that the repairs to your vehicle have now been completed. Thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.David M

first of all it wasnt a supply chain issue it was told to me that one you didnt have enough mechanic's and then it was you was to busy then it was we are trying to get to it then it was well it looks like it was your master cylinder then it was was we didnt know if you wanted us to fix it. i took it back because it was suppose to have new part i bought and well oh the new parts are different then the original that is why a clamp had to be put on. now i bought a new part from advance auto and you told me it had to be vw part now the part is different then the original vw part should of been the same as the original that was on it. you all just kept it for 2 months. your service guy i have on video being arrogant and talking down to me. i fill you ripped me off half assed the work i paid for and well i wont be back and ill pass it on not to go there. you just want to blow smoke up my butt just to get things to look good your way. im going to make sure the people looking for a car not to go to neil huffman
