I am a senior and have HUMANA as a secondary to MEDICARE--- I choose this because of Silver Sneakers, and a 200$ mnthly card for certain items and at certain stores. I used the card end of 2023--Walmart, Hannaford, and Walgreens. In January senior day Tuesday--I used the card. I only used these stores as they are close to me. I have been home for practically 3 mnths as my car was down. I called a couple days ago and was told 0 balance--I talked with this guy from Nicaragua and he said HUMANA does not honor scams, AND APPARENTLY THIS IS A CRISIS WITH THIS CARD! So, I lost 600$ roughly from HUMANA and they do not care! I am issued another card in a few weeks--so hopefully the scammers will not corrupt this card, BUT nevertheless HUMANA WILL NOT PAY!!!!! December when I tried to use this card--some food would not go through, and flashlights and batteries could not be rechargeable? THIS IS A RIP OFF AND I DO NOT PLAN TO KEEP HUMANA NEXT ENROLLMENT PERIOD! I also question last yr HUMANA DID NOT TAKE 50$ off of my part B? I am new to these insurance companies BUT RUNAWAY FROM HUMANA! It does not take responsibility to there senior customers. I am poor due to house fire and this hurts me real bad! I was saving the 200$ money for when I went to Florida--and now I have none! RIP OFF!!!! I had an agent from NC that screwed up my application so I lost 300$ last year from her not enrolling me properly.Review from Levie G.

I cancelled my Dental Plan with Humana on 2/21/24 I told the representative the auto pay for renewal was set up 2/25/24 I told the representative to make sure everything was done correct so I would not have may account debited a $167.88. The representative told me my account information is being removed so it will not be debited from my account. On 2/25/24 my account was debited for 167.88 I called back to Humana and explained what happen they said they would refund my money 10-15 days via paper check I told them that was unacceptable then they said they would send back electronic directly to my accounts 7-10 business days I said fine. On 3/11/24 I have yet to receive my money, I called and they said they approved to send my refund on 3/7/24 via paper check so I am not sure when I am to receive my refund, when I asked to speak to a manager they said I would be getting a call back from a supervisor by the end of the day I called them at 9:45AM and they can't call back till the end of day. Humana is unprofessional in how they handle business and they never can explain why I am over two weeks waiting for my refundReview from Ann L

Humana gave me a price last year then they keep doubling it over and over then on top of that they took the doubled amount from my SSDI check so now I can’t pay my boils it was $229! A lot for me and when I confronted their Error they laughed at me then hung up on me saying they would NOT REFUND THEIR Error An people wonder why others become homelessReview from Cheyenne B

They don't give correct information when signing up. They repeated my phone number wrong and gave me false information. As most companies do, they deny it. When I called, the recording state I did not have the HMO and had trouble getting to a rep to correct my phone number to ask my question. That's when I discovered that I had originally been misled.Review from Carol S

First if all I had Humana before and I hated it 2020 but I choose to give it a chance in Ga since I was told by agent that it had changed. But to me it help me remember why I hated before. Here is my experience I had gotten it when I moved to GA. and discovered that they stopped my insurance because of agent. I reported it told me 3 days to reinstate but than was told 14 days which it didn't happen it took almost 6 weeks to reinstate me. I told them because of the incovience they should give m e some type of gift card for my incovience. I they told about being so sorry.Review from Genevieve P

What a FRAUD! I spoke with a Representative before enrolling myself and my husband for dental preventative program I decided to call rather than enroll online bcs i wanted to make sure I got all my Q's covered. #1 Q:: If the dentist is out of network how much coverage will we get for certain procedures A:: 80% for out of network providers .. Mind you NOT one in network provider in our entire county, we would have to drive 1&1/2 hrs to get to a in network provider When i received the invoice to find out that only 20% was covered I called to only play pass the buck and transfer me over to 4 different agents all overseas and struggling to understand each other.. A:: If your dentist charges over the average cost for cleaning in North Cal of $130 we will only cover 20% instead of 80%!!! How does that make any scene?? Turns out I'm paying them more in monthly fees than what is covered Why didn't the representative inform me of this?Review from Philip H

Humana has done everything it can to block me from getting enough medication to last between prescription refills. For a month's supply I get 6 tablets when I need at least one every other day. 20 phone calls, one appeal and one grieviance later I have accomplished nothing. Humana collects your information and sells it to 3rd party insurance representatives for $40 each. Once that is done they can not retract your information. I've been receiving constant phone calls and text messages from all over the country. MAKE IT STOP I was so nervous and full of anxiety about talking to anyone about Medicare, I have trust issues, and this is what I get. I called humana executive and he told me there's nothing her can do because agents are buying my information at $40 each. SmhReview from Barbara R

Switched to a Humana Advantage Plan 1/1/23. Have had so many problems. I have had to call numerous times . The response sounds good “I’ll have to check in to it and will call you back”. They don’t. I verified that all my doctors were on the plan . Then my cardiologist said Humana wouldn’t pay. After many calls it was paid for. Then they denied a claim for the same cardiology group that they gave us a referral for and told me it would take 60 days to appeal. Fortunately we had 12 months to go back to our original health plan which we are doing effective 10/1/23. Poor poor customer service.Review from Don K

Very poor customer service!!! Have tried mostly all day to get a live person, who might actually be able to ANSWER questions. Poorest customer service of any insurance company ever.
