    Contracted them to enclose a deck to make a porch. This project was contracted to take 4 weeks, they took 32 weeks. The material they used was inferior, the workmanship was beginners level at best. In extending the roof they caused structural damage to the inside of my house with resulting water damage. The workers were not supervised. Charged for the purchasing of standard tools, like hammers and post hole diggers, and not left with me. The contract was for an amount in like with other estimates, but they claim their cost was 3 times the amount agreed upon. Difficult to reach to discuss delays and concerns.

    Dear June: First, we want you to know we take your comments seriously, but we do need to address the points you made. 1) We started your project in November 2020 and immediately ran into supply chain issues. Lumber was exceptionally to find, and pricing increased significantly. Additionally, COVID caused several tradesman to turn down work. And since your project was outdoors, winter weather also factored into the delays. 2) In addition, you took an extended vacation from January through March of 2021; and designated your nephew to supervise the project. He did not want us working when he wasn’t present; which added additional delays. 3) While our costs rose significantly, we never asked you to pay so much as a penny over our contract. We absorbed the cost increases. 4) As for purchasing tools for your project, we typically, delete those tools from your budget. You may receive a receipt that indicates a tool purchased, but when you check your balance sheet, you find we did not include the cost of the tool in your line item. 5) If our work was inferior, and our materials were inferior, why were these concerns never expressed to us rather than writing this unfair review? In fact, you expressed no concerns until we asked for final payment. 6) Finally, you indicated we were difficult to reach. Simply not true. You stopped responding to our phone messages and emails and denied us the opportunity to address your concerns. Your project has been completed. Your nephew, Tim, gave verbal approval of all work and materials and confirmed by a third party (Ms. Paris) via email. And you still owe our company the balance of your contract.
