    consumer states that they do not have a contract with Caine &
    Weiner.  Caine & Weiner is a debt
    collector.  The debt is for auto
    insurance with Progressive.  We collect
    on behalf of our client, Progressive. 
    Our records indicate that we forwarded the initial letter to the
    consumer on March 18, 2019, to the address provided by our client.   The first validation was sent September
    30, 2019.  Validation will be sent
    again today, July 25, 2023, to the address in the complaint.  We will send a request to the credit
    reporting agencies to mark the account as 'Disputed'.   The contract was established with
    Progressive.  The contract should be
    requested through Progressive.  As a
    90-year old company, Caine & Weiner wants to help consumers in any way
    possible.  We encourage the consumer to call our office at ************   and ask for a manager for further assistance.   We may also be contacted at

    The consumer states that they do not have a contract with Caine & Weiner. Caine & Weiner is a debt collector. The debt is for auto insurance with Progressive. We collect on behalf of our client, Progressive.  Our records indicate that we forwarded the initial letter to the consumer on March 28, 2023, to the address provided by our client. Validation was requested today, July 20, 2023, and will be sent to the address in the complaint. The account has been flagged as 'Disputed' in our office. We will send a request to the credit reporting agencies to mark the file as disputed.  As a 90-year-old company, Caine & Weiner wants to help consumers in any way possible. We encourage the consumer to call our office at ************ and ask for a manager for further assistance. We may also be contacted at ******************

    I was reviewing my credit reports and found this company had file a collection charge on my file for 158.00. I am not liable for the debt owed to Caine and Weiner. I do not have a contract with them. Since I don't owe them, I want them to remove this from my credit report.

However, after reviewing my records, I am unable to find any documentation of any contractual relationship between (CAINE & WEINER COMPANY} and me which makes you a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me. This letter is NOT a request for verification or validation.
    This is a request for proof of contract to substantiate your claim. Provide me with a certified copy of an original contract, with my signature specifically naming your company as a person entitled to enforce a commercial claim against me . Certifications can be done through the presence of a notary public, who duly swears the copy made is in fact a copy of the original paper contract in question.
    Failure to respond and provide strict proof of contract will constitute your tactic agreement that you,
    CAINE & WEINER COMPANY are NOT entitled to enforce a claim against me. In the event you continue your collection efforts against me without providing proof of contract, I will file a complaint with the ******** ******* *** ******* ***** *********** and file a ****** ****** ******* *** *** ********** *** ******** ** *******.
    You have 30 days to provide strict proof of contract.     I have been a victim of identity theft. I believe this debt is a result of this crime. I deny that this is my debt. I acknowledge this debt in the amount of $200 was established without my knowledge or my consent. I have no contractual agreement with CAINE & WEINER COMPANY INC or ***********. I have previously forwarded a copy of a police report and CAINE & WEINER COMPANY INC has refused to honor my report. Please remove this inaccurate and derogatory item from my credit report.
