      I went to Brecher’s Lighting in April 2024 to purchase a ceiling fan for the living room which has a high ceiling. I wanted to get advice on whether the old fan was hung at the correct height and to assure that the new fan would allow for changing the direction of the blade rotation using a remote rather than having to flip a switch. I explained these requirements to the sales rep and showed her pictures of the living room and cited measurements of the ceiling height, old fan’s rod length and distance from the floor. She then showed me fans that she said met my requirements. When the installer had nearly completed the fan’s installation, I asked him how to use the remote to change the blade direction and that’s when I learned that the fan that costs over $700 did not do the one thing I specifically stressed was important to me. When I contacted the sales rep she stated that Brecher’s has a NO RETURN policy. I decided to use that fan in a different location where it would not be inconvenient to change the blade direction.
      Foolishly, I decided to stick with Brecher’s. I contacted the fan manufacturer to find a fan from their product line that would allow the blade direction to be changed via remote. I mailed the Brecher’s rep about ordering a different fan but with the same 48” blade size as was originally determined to be more appropriate for the living room than the old fan in that location. The fan arrived at Brecher’s and I picked it up but failed to check all the specifications before leaving the showroom. Upon installation of the second fan I realized that despite my communication with the Brecher’s rep via email where the 48” blade was specified, the rep had ordered a 44” blade instead. Of course, no returns as Brecher’s accepts NO RESPONSIBILITY for errors that are directly caused by their employees. Buyer beware: If you deal with this company you will pay for their mistakes. They don't deserve the one star above.
