In March of 2024 I had a CD at this bank. I wanted to move $1500 out of this Cd over to my checking account. They told me that it would cost me between $150 and $170 to do that which is more than they had paid me interest on the account. I complained and talked to a manager about this absorbent gouging rate. She basically told me to stuff it and hung up on me while I was sitting in the bank. I said that I was going to publicize this and call the news media as I considered this gouging. I am almost 80 years old and and know when I am being ripped off and in this case having a bank abusing me due to my elderly status. I needed the money as my wife had just died and I had bills to pay. After I complained I walked out of the bank and never said anything that could be construed to be of any other nature except that I was going to get the word out about what they did to me . The next day I received a call from their security department telling me that due to my verbiage the previous day they were closing all of my accounts and forbid me to ever go into any of their branches again. I have never ever been treated so poorly by any business in my almost 80 years of life especially a big bank and the fact that they were abusing an elderly person. If I were you I would really think about whether you wanted to do business with a company that tries to rip you off and then abuses you if you complain. What if one of your parents had this experience, would you want them to do business with this bank? The choice is yours.
