    Signed contract for R & R DO ALL to install a metal pergola with motorized louvers and privacy screens on our back patio in April 2023. We were assured with the motorized roof closed, it is completely waterproof, seeing as they install these same models at restaurants frequently. After install, it was very clear the pergola was not waterproof. When it rained, water would pour from the roof in multiple locations on the patio. R & R were contacted, multiple times. They put waterproofing tape on the inside of the pergola, however it was not applied correctly, with large gaps and folds in tape, so that did not fix the problem. There are 3 sections of the roof, each with its own motor to open/close. 3 seperate times motor 1 quit working and had to be replaced. We kept contacting the company regarding the water issue, sending videos of water pouring in. They came out twice, trying to put tape and various "bandaides" on the problem. One worker suggested the prefab holes were drilled incorrectly and the unit wasn't lining up correctly. They made the comment they didnt know why it was happening, this was the 1st time, and made me feel like I was making it up in spite of video evidence. The water is still coming through, motor 1 has quit working again, and the owner is no longer responding to calls/texts. We paid $57,500 for this pergola to work as advertised, We would like this issue fixed. We feel they know this pregola was put together incorrectly, whether it was the prefab issue, or their instillation process, we need this fixed immediately.
