      To begin, we signed up for a new home build contract in ***** ******* ****** ** the month of august 2020. We were initially lied to about the home design by our sales person Jackie B., the neighborhood and the easements in our selected lot. We were led astray and shown a different model and told it was our model. From there, we selected a lot based on the fact there were no easements, however there is an easement running directly through our backyard. THe neighborhood also advertised lakes/ponds on the property and these do not exist.

      the main issue, and the reason i am filing this complaint, is we have been given the run around on our 1 yr warranty inspection. We closed officially on March 29th, and on our 1 year warranty we informed drees of poor paint/stain job on exterior cedar accent pieces that were an additional $1,600. (These were stained poorly the first go round, and were re-stained right after closing). We also complained that the alignment of the cedar columns were completely off track.

      TO this we began the now 6 month process of getting this corrected with no resolution. We first were told "lets get an engineer to look at them". After 2 months of waiting, our original warranty rep stated, they were built this way for structural reasons. Move onto the next warranty rep, we find out they are in fact not structural, more of a covering for the structural materials underneath. We then go back and wait another month for them to "look into getting materials". We make the decision to just keep them as is, and have them stained again per the warranty. We now have had 4 different dates/times slotted out, where "for unforeseen circumstances" the painters don't show up. We have to initiate the follow up to Drees, and they are doing absolutely nothing to help us. Our 1 yr warranty was in march, and September we have had nothing done. I am sick of being mistreated and lied to by this company and seek the job completion and reimbursement for our additional cost.

      I purchased a drees home from another person after 7 months.The micro owen would not work half of the time unless I try to close the door and retry multiple times.The dishwasher gave trouble within one year of when this house is sold.I have spent money on the appliance repair person and a lot of time myself trying to fix that issue.After multiple parts replaced and spending close to 15 hours of effort, it still does not work.I am extremely unsatisfied with the quality of the dish washer and micro owen.I want them to be repaired or replaced as it is extremely unfair on drees side to have installed such cheap equipment and a massive wastage of my time.

      The appliances were chosen by the original
      owner who built the house.  The house closed on 3/12/21 and there is no history of any appliances needing service during the
      first year.  

      Drees does not warranty manufacturer goods in the home.  The appliances are warranted directly through the manufacturer.  Drees is unaware if the original owner registered any of the products in the home or if
      there is any warranty left through Whirlpool for the appliances.  

      Instructions and contact numbers were given to the homeowner explaining how to schedule a Whirlpool service call online.

      Today(8/18/2022) I found a few big crack at exterior of the house. I reported the issue.
      They are just making excuse to deny their responsibility. they are saying it is normal tear and wear and touch painting should fix it, but my touch painting timing is gone(expired), so they said I am out of warranty.
      it is clearly a structure issue, the two piece is completely separated at one end, how can it be normal tear/wear? and it has nothing to do with painting. Drees is very "good" at putting you in not warranted situation with all the made up excuse.

      Though the home is clearly out of warranty, and we are not obligated to fix this, we will will take care of this issue.  We were already scheduled to be at the house the first week of September.  We will resolve this issue at that same time.

      We built our home with Drees. The construction process was not smooth and multiple quality control issues were raised with the company. Those concerns were never taken seriously. We have submitted requests with multiple issues never being taken care of. Our 90 inspection still hasn’t happened after 6 months being in the house. They refuse to come out outside of their business hours even though I am not able be present for. I have large volumes of emails that show they never fixed anything.

      Problem:
      I have already filed one complaint but the company stated to me and the BBB that this would be handled. This is not the case. Drees repairs have been subpar and have not even been up to building code. Their lack of organizational control over their contractors is causing our warranty repairs to be substandard and not up to the promise of the company. This continues to be company that promises that everything will be fine and does zero to make that happen. We do not have faith that this company will maintain the quality required. I have attached the photos from only one repair contractor. We have two pages of issues with Drees including tearing out the concrete of our driveway and relaying.

      Warranty Manager, Kevin Knochelmann, spoke with the homeowner Friday afternoon and explained that the painter caulks the hose bib, not the plumber, and sent a Drees warranty rep to caulk the hose bib that afternoon.  Drees has agreed to complete the list of items and is currently in the process of trying to coordinate all subs for the same day.
