    March 14th, 2025 an employee came to look at 2 trees to cut down at our house. We agreed I’d do $500 down when I got to sign a contract & $200 2X a month to equal out to $1,800. March 18th the “owner” came to collect my $500 but didn’t provide a contract. Multiple occasions there were rescheduling when they’d come & no call no shows. When I requested my $500 back on April 7th the “owner” stated that they “don’t do refunds” & that he “stated” when he came by on March 18th that they were going to “get started when I made my first payment”. The 1st employee I spoke to came by on April 9th to bring me a contract & collect another $200 to “officially start the job on April 10th no later than Friday April 11th” and yet another no call no show so I requested my $700 back from the owner. At that point I read the contract & focused on their cancellation policy and gave a 48+ hours notice to cancel the job to be refunded. The owner starts saying that if I was to get ANY money back they had a “15% cancellation fee” and I told them to not show up to my house or I would contact the police & have them removed from my property. He then said that “ The cancellation fee is 25% of 1800 you do the math”. My boyfriend then contact both the owner & the employee to discuss things & he was told they’d be here April 15th. They never showed & said that a job they were working on took longer as expected (which is okay) & they’d be here April 17th. When they didn’t show up YET AGAIN, my boyfriend tried to call & send another message and he’s now blocked.
