    Signed a contract with **** Palmer and Paramount roofing on 4/14/20 to install a "Premium #1 Grade Standing Seam Roof" (see attached contract).
    During installation, I questioned **** on the number of roof fasteners he was using to hold down the roof, but he assured me his installation procedure met the required building code and had provided excellent service for all his previous installations. In addition, he indicated that he stood behind his work and if I had any future problems I could just give him a call and they would take care of it.
    Sometime during the month of September 2022, I noticed substantial wind damage had accured to one corner of the new roof. A few days later, I called **** to report the damage and he indicted that he would get with his installation crew and see when they could schedule a site visit to check on the damage.
    Since that initial contact, he has never tried to call me back or stop by the house. Initially, giving him the benefit of the doubt and thinking he was just busy, I wasn't too concerned, but it quickly became apparent that he was refusing to take my calls. Over the last several months I have continued to try and reach out to ****, with no luck. It seems he would rather ignore the problem, than try to get it resolved. I have continued to try and reach out to ****, calling him sometimes several times a day, multiple days each week, over several weeks (now stretching into months) at a time, as well as leaving multiple messages, with no response. I hope you have better luck!
    DESIGN INFORMATION
    If upon reaching Paramount, they try and claim some sort of "extreme weather condition" exceeding the requirements of the *** was responsible for the damage, I have provided the following information:
    As required by the ***, the roof installation for ANY building or structure in KY, should have been designed for 81 MPH. Per the records at the Bluegrass Airport Weather Station (see attached link), ********* has not seen any wind gusts exceeding 45 MPH between August and November of this year (2022) when the damage occurred. This obviously leads to the conclusion that the roof damage was not caused by weather conditions exceeding the *** design parameters, but rather by inadequate and substandard installation work by Paramount Roofing and should be repaired or replaced by them, per the original contract guarantee.
    SUPPORTING INFORMATION
    2018 Kentucky Building Code, page 60, Section 1609.1.1: The nominal design wind speed on any building or structure in Kentucky is 81 MPH
    As recorded by the weather station at Bluegrass airport (https://*******************************************Weather-during-2022-in-L*************************-United-States), the maximum wind gust recorded in ********* between August and November 2022 was less than 45 MPH.
