1 starSubmitted a buylist mid-December, it was received before the end of the year. Currently unpaid, the business marked many cards that were fresh from pack as "damaged" and they are not paying for them, and also not returning them. Do not sell to this business, support your local card shops.Troll and Toad Enterprises

Hey Sandy:
We are sorry to hear that we could not accept your items. Please let us know your buylist order number so we can look into the delay with the return of your items. If buylist orders are rejected we do contact the customer so that they can receive these items back if they would like. You will have to pay for the return shipping however. I have searched our system and currently cannot find your name so emailing us directly with more information will help us get the items back to you!Review fromRam M

1 starI’ve been back and forth with an Adam from T&T involving 3 Buylist orders totaling over 2500$ I’ve been selling to them for 8 years and never had issues until now they have owed me since September and give me an answer that they are going through staff changes and that he has notifed accounting and will resolve the issue. I have filed a complaint with the postmaster and have contacted a lawyerTroll and Toad Enterprises

Hey Ram:
We want to sincerely apologize for the delays in payments that you may have experienced recently. These delays are not reflective of the standard we aim to uphold, and we deeply regret any inconvenience this has caused.
The delays were due to internal changes that have impacted several processes, including payments. We want to assure you that we are actively working to resolve this situation. Our team has been prioritizing this issue, and we are committed to ensuring all payments are processed and sent out this week.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work through these adjustments.Review fromCJ M

1 starMy ~$350 Buylist order was agreed to on Oct 8th, was delivered on Oct 12, and the final cost approved on Oct 31st at ~$250, to be delivered by PayPal.
After not receiving payment by Nov 16th, I sent an email requesting an update, and was told on Nov 18th that staffing shortages have led to delays. I was asked to follow up by Nov 22nd if I had still not received payment. Understandable, so I decided to wait.
By Nov 25th I still did not have my payment, so I sent another email. I got a reply on the 29th saying Accounting would be contacted to resolve my issue "as soon as possible".
On Dec 4th, I still had no payment and no information from Accounting or Customer Service, so I wrote an email requesting an update that also expressed the following: "While I am happy with these customer service updates and exchanges, I feel obliged to share that I feel disappointed with the overall T&T experience. I understand that some of the company changes have created difficulty in this Buylist pipeline (and you are not responsible for these difficulties, I know), but this was not communicated when I selected T&T as my vendor of choice for my Buylist. Had I known we would be navigating payment delays nearly two months after I put my items in the mail, I would have selected a different vendor."
An email response came the same day saying "please be patient". Are you kidding me?? I've already been patient, waiting nearly two months! And I felt I was quite polite in my criticism, so this message was a slap in the face.
I wrote again on Dec 11th asking for an update, no response.
I've written another email today, Jan 6th, and hope to see a reply soon. But I felt I needed to share my experience because 1) my Troll & Toad experience seems to match many others here, and 2) it seems that T&T actually takes action for the problems raised here, while ignoring the problems shared via email.
After this experience, I won't be doing business with T&T again.Troll and Toad Enterprises

Hey CJ:
We sincerely apologize for the delay in processing your payment and truly appreciate your understanding. We’re pleased to let you know that your order has now been paid!
In recent months, we’ve been making significant updates to our processes and onboarding additional team members to enhance our operations. While these improvements are designed to benefit everyone in the long run, they have temporarily impacted our payment timelines more than expected. Please rest assured that we’re diligently working to restore a consistent and dependable schedule.
Your support means the world to us, and we deeply value each of our customers. If you have any additional questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out—we’re always here for you!Review fromJason R

1 starSo far, this experience has been terrible. I initially sent in my cards for their buylist service, which was quoted at over $1,100. Coming from a family of Pokémon collectors, all the cards were in good to near mint condition. A month later, the offer dropped to just over $350, with most cards marked as being in "played with" condition. I reached out for clarification but received no response.
After reading similar negative reviews, I panicked about our cards being purposely undervalued to be stolen. I have tried contacting them multiple times through calling, emails, and social media for two months, but received no replies/pick up until finally, someone named Adam responded with a superficial answer, saying it was beyond his control.
It’s now December—those cards arrived in September—and I still haven’t received my approved funds! I regret not reading the reviews beforehand and encourage others to document their process if they decide to take this risk.
To Troll and Toad: can you please pay my family what you owe us? Those cards meant a lot to our family, and the reason we chose to part with our collection was to use the funds for the holiday season, which is now completely out of reach with Christmas just around the corner. Stealing from families, especially those who love and appreciate this hobby, is wrong and downright disgusting. I hope you reflect on this when you spend time with your families and realize the impact of your actions on countless others.
I am determined to share my story and seek legal counsel on how to deal with this situation appropriately if we don’t receive our payment soon. We just want our money as now we are already committed to this process.Troll and Toad Enterprises

Hey Jason,
We deeply regret the frustration and disappointment you’ve experienced during this process. First and foremost, we want to confirm that your payment has now been issued, and you should see it reflected shortly. We sincerely apologize for the delays and for any stress this has caused your family during the holiday season.
We understand how important your collection is, not only in terms of monetary value but also sentimental significance. When processing buylist submissions, our team evaluates each item carefully. Unfortunately, some of the cards in your submission did show signs of wear that affected their grading and value. While this adjustment is standard to ensure accuracy and fairness in our process, we recognize that this might not have aligned with your expectations.
Our records show that our customer service team did reach out to keep you updated on delays; however, it’s clear that our communication fell short of your needs. For that, we take full responsibility and are reviewing how we can improve responses to ensure better clarity and timeliness in the future.
We value the trust collectors place in us, and your feedback is crucial to helping us improve. If there’s anything else we can address, or if you have additional concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out directly.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and we truly hope to restore your confidence in our services moving forward.Review fromBryan C

2 starsUnfortunately, I have been left with no other choice other than to come here. The service on the surface is great, unfortunately poor communication has resulted in many complaints by customers that could have been mitigated by just adding a payment disclaimer *takes 4-6 weeks to be paid, for example. However, when I am being told it will take roughly two weeks, given a date and then another 2 weeks rolls by with nothing happening that is where there becomes an issue. Also, communication has stopped the past week. I have been extremely nice throughout this whole process, or lack there of, and I simply just want to be paid for order 606538, please.Troll and Toad Enterprises

1 starThey stole my cards. I will never buy or sell from this company again. CARD TITAN in NJ is so much better and I can trust them. Troll and Toad are liars and thieves. I submitted a buylist and they told me my cards arrived missing/damaged but refused to provide pictures or the oringinal tracking number. They had me pay for return shipping but have not sent my cards back to me yet. LIARS!!Troll and Toad Enterprises

1 starI have 3 different buylist that have been in pending payment status since August 20th. I receive the same copy and paste response regarding expediting my payment. Nobody picks up through customer service, nobody responds to the consult page form on their website, and nobody responds via their social media presence.Troll and Toad Enterprises

1 starI have bought cards from them multiple times and didn't have any issues. I have submitted probably close to 10 buylists to them over the past year or so and usually receive payment within 2-3 weeks. I submitted my last buylist on 09/13/24 and dropped it off (I'm local) that same weekend. They confirmed everything in it on 09/16/24 and I have still not been paid. Every time I email I get the same response that they have company changes and staffing shortages. Don't even bother trying to call them, no one answers. Really disappointed in this. I guess I'll be going to a different local card shop to do business because even though they offer less money for the cards, I'll get paid that same day. Expecting someone to give you their cards and not pay them for almost 2 months is absolutely absurd and unprofessional. Everyone at the retail store is always very nice but unfortunately can't help when it comes to payment for a buylist submission.Troll and Toad Enterprises

2 starsFirst, I will start with a positive. I found the communication from Troll and Toad prompt and very straightforward. I appreciate that you can view your buylist order online and see where the deductions were made due to condition or wrong edition.
Unfortunately, I have the same complaint as everyone else, payments are not issued in a timely manner. I submitted my buylist on August 7 and mailed it out within 3 days. Once it was received it took about two weeks for them to review the submission and I received my adjusted offer on August 28. I responded and accepted the adjustments on the same day.
Despite the Buylist Representative moving me up in the queue for payment once I complained on October 2 I have still not received my payment. I do my best to understand staffing and internal changes, but it is unacceptable for people to wait 1-2 months for payment. I know the website is not a scam, as I sent cards years ago and received payment with no issues. I also know I will eventually receive the PayPal payment for my current buylist, but do not send them cards if you are using the money for immediate needs. You'll be disappointed.Troll and Toad Enterprises

Please let us know if you do have any other questions!
